Operation Lemming Demo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Written by Chris Foote (C)1991 Infinity Foreword ~~~~~~~~ This is a demo of a little game I have written over the past 5 months. This demo has been written exclusively for Amiga User International, it contains 2 levels not used in the full game, and cannot be sold seperately. The full version features over 120 sprites spread over 12 levels. There are also more animations, different music tracks & a dedicated document displayer. Operation Lemming is charityware, with all profits going to the Royal National Institute of the Blind. It is currently only available from CYB Computers, 9 Crown Lane, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DA - costing only 3 pounds ! System Requirements: An Amiga (which works), power supply unit, monitor/t.v., mouse, a brain, sticky-back plastic, 2 empty toilet rolls and a LOUD stereo system (to annoy the neighbours !). Oh, and if you havent got at least 1 meg of free memory the game wont work, (come on, buy some extra memory !). Introduction: AH! Those cute little lemmings, their little mop of green hair, their size, makes you want to cudd....kill the little *#?!@#@? !!!! This little game is dedicated to all those people out there, like myself, who has got totally stressed by the brilliant game Lemmings. Instructions: Just kill everything! Basically thats it. But here is the full rundown: Control the gun sight with the mouse, and press the left mousebutton to fire a shot. You are limited with the bullets - so dont fire aimlessly, otherwise a lemming could walk pass unhurt (and we cant have that !) - and youll lose a life ! The speed, direction and type of lemming which passes is completely random, but the faster they travel, the higher the score you will get if you hit it. Speaking of bullets, you have a limited supply per level - but dont panic ! As your supply runs low, an ammo cannister will fall down. If it is shot, you will gain some bullets back. Every now and then, you might be lucky enough to see a nuke can at the bottom of the screen. If you shoot it, you will have a Nuke Bomb at your disposal ! To activate it, press the right mousebutton and halt the lemming in its path ! Note: You can only have one nuke bomb at a time. When you shoot at the can, your bullet count will be reduced. If you use a nuke bomb, you wont get any points for killing the lemming (come on, its cheating anyway !) In Game Keys: `P' will pause the game (any other key to continue) `S' will play the sound effects only (no music) `M' will play the music and sound FX `Q' will quit the game Credits for this Demo-Version: Chris Foote - Programming, Lemming Animations and Graphics Ken Evans - Graphics Noise - For the in-game music track Ben Hutt - For proving the packing routines Paul Thompson - Gave me the Rainbow Warrior routine Steve Riding - (of Psygnosis) for permission to release this Francois Lionnet - For creating AMOS and its compiler Gary Fenton at AUI - For showing an interest in this product And indirectly: Dave Jones - For writing the original game Lemmings.
