HOW TO WRITE
     ARTICLES

This  is  not  an  article  on what to
write  but on how to write an article.
It  is  supposed  that you use CED for
writing.   The first person that sends
a   completely   edited  article  will
receive  a special award, so go ahead,
make the life of an editor easier...

If  you  have  ever  loaded one of our
articles  into  an text editor (if you
haven't,   then  try  it!),  you  have
probably noticed the control codes for
different     colors,     fonts    and
everything.   Here's  how  to use them
and   completely   edit   an  article.
First,   you  set  right  margin  with
[Amiga+Shift+#]  (this  is  for german
keyboard!)  to  38  if  you  want  two
columns  or  80 if you want one.  Then
you  write  the  article freely.  When
you're  done  a  passage  or so, press
[Amiga+f]  to  format  the  text  with
filling  to  get  even  margins.  When
you're done with writing, you're ready
to  put  control  codes.  There are 10
different  control  codes.  The number
is the ASCII code of the char.  It can
be  entered  with  [Amiga+_]  and  the
letter   is   a   short-cut  from  the
keyboard   which  can  be  entered  as
[Ctrl+Letter].  Here are all the CC's:
 - 14 (N) = 8x8 font
 - 15 (O) = 8x8 font (bold style)
 - 16 (P) = 8x8 font (italic style)
 - 17 (Q) = 16x8 font
 - 18 (R) = 16x16 font
 - 19 (S) = Color one: White
 - 20 (T) = Color two: Blue
 - 21 (U) = Color three: Red
 - 22 (V) = One column display
 - 23 (W) = End of article

Here  are  some  rules  you should pay
attention to when you're putting CC's:

- You  should  change  the  font to  a
different  size  only at the beginning
of  the  line.  Bold and italic can be
changed anywhere.  Don't do this:
      [R] Blah, blah [N]
      Blah, Blah, Blah.
But:
      [R] Blah, blah
      [N] Blah, Blah, Blah.
- One column CC must be the first char
in the article!
- Colors can be changed anywhere.
- End_of_article must me the last char
in the article!
- Remember  that  when   you're  using
fonts  16  pixels  wide, number of the
chars  per line is halved and that one
line   takes  two  normal  lines  (8x8
font).

That's  about  it.  It's not very hard
once  you get used to it...  Remember:
there  is  a reward for the completely
edited article!
