POLARIS PARTY

You  are about to read report from the
first  real  party in Croatia.  It was
held  on  10.X.1992  in Siscia and was
organized  by  4  Polaris members from
Siscia!

First of all I have to say that it was
suprisingly well organized and without
exeggerating  I  can  say that it will
enter  the  history.  And that it will
be  crossroad for Croatian scene!  Not
only   coz   of  productions  released
there.    We   didn't   make  any  big
advertising  for  it,  like to release
some invitation demos or intros, or to
publish  some invitations in different
mags.   It was proposed to be strictly
Croatian  party  to gather all groups.
I  couldn't  even imagine that so many
dudes  will come, coz we informed some
groups  ONLY  via phone.  But word has
spreaded  like hell.  I think I am not
the right men to write about it, think
Jerry  (main  organizer) would be much
more  competent  for that.  There were
some  companies  which  sponsored  the
party  (prizes)  and  also Minister of
Informatics    was   there   (Boozing,
hehehe).

After  the  party  I  made compilation
from  comp.   winners.  We didn't join
the  demo  competition with preview of
our demo, coz it wouldn't be very nice
from   organizers  to  win  everything
(hehe,  actually  coder  had  problems
with  showing the title picture on the
screen).
Equipment  was very good, big speakers
and  everything  was  presented on the
big   screen.   Atmospheare  was  o.k.
especially  in the evening, during the
competitions, when all gamers left the
party place.  We have met really a lot
of  dudes  and  now  our scene is much
more compact.
During  the  night  Polaris  and  some
Systematics  members  went  to  atomic
shelter  where two packs of beer (each
have  24  bottles!) and few bottles of
Coke  were  waiting  for  us.  We also
connected  one  Amiga  on whom we were
copying  stuff  and playing games.  It
was wild for me and Lord coz we smoked
2 joints that day and we consumed some
beer  (I  drunk some 9 bottles of beer
and Rum-Cola).

Organizers were Jerry, Omega, Sentinel
and  Ivanhoe.   Other  Polaris members
were  Rod  (me),  Lord,  Dr.J  and The
Hunter  from  Split and Alpha and Blue
Deville  from  Zagreb.   So much about
the  party,  I  am  sure  I  have  not
mentioned  everything.   It was a kind
of  the  party  where  everybody had a
great  time  and  the  organizers have
promised   to   organize  it  in  near
future, within few months.
