TITLE:The wellknow gossip-series starts PALETTE:0113 0989 0789 0aa8 3 PEOPLE TALK ABOUT... The Party is over again, the rooms have been cleaned up, the last boozed Poles have been thrown outside and we guess even 2COLORBIRD 1is sober again. So, what remains? The annual fuzz of course! So, what are these topics, one can't afford to miss, which aren't left out in any swapp letter from Lappland to Timbuktu? 2"THE MARVELLOUS(!) LUNATICS BALL-Office for Investigations in Topics, no rational mind would spend a single penny for" 1hereby publishes an updated list of what is fashionable these wild winter weekends... 3People talk about... ... 2MELON DEZIGN1: Their 2NINJA1-demo was even before it was shown on the big screen considered to be the most innovative demo in 1994. Oh, a cuddly little cartoon-Ninja is jumping around like nuts for several minutes just to decapitate another bloke. So, why do people keep complaining about 2ODYSSEE1's simple storyboard? ... 2OXYRON1: The C-64 legend has reached the limits of their roots-machine and moved over to the AMIGA (Cheers!) - just to really stunn people with a 4 disked demo full of gorgeous code, rendered gfx and extremly tasteless Techno"music". They expected the competition to be run on a A1200 with 6MB so their 2TIME KILLER was originally supposed to be an onefiler - getting a little megalomaniac after being released from 64kbyte, eh? ... 2INTEL1: We wonder - is the 2INTEL OUTSIDE 1slogan really enough to justify nonsaying demos getting high rankings in competitions? And did 2ANDROMEDA deserve their nr. X position for 2NEXUS 7 1without an INTEL OUTSIDE-logo in the end? 2PENTIUM 1- thy name be done... ... 2IMPACT1: Their 2ASCII-demo 1is widely considered to be innovative... Oh, god - everything but that! Please let it be unique - else we get a massive bunch of clones which will make the originality of this release disappear. Our hope for 1995: 3Don't do it again, Sam. ... 2ANDROMEDA1: Are they funny or disgusting, nostalgic (Mental Hangover) or simply embarrasing to give fuckings to 2LORD HELMET1? Anyway - NEXUS 7 was brilliant (although featuring no INTEL OUTSIDE-logo). ... 2THERAPY1: Are some ostrichs and Beavis and Butthead so existentially important that they alone justify a re-release (almost) of THERAPY's contributiondemo to the PARTY III? We are unpatiently waiting for the Party V... ... 2INFECT1: How comes that a group whose members don't do nothing except for humiliating, offending and making fun of others manage to get ALL releases from the party without having to work for it? They collected nearly 2100Mbyte 1of stuff on their harddisk simply by waiting for people to bring it along. ... 2HITHANSEN/REDNEX1: Seems like this mate doesn't expects much from his own composing abilities or why did he take the best known part of 2JIMI HENDRIX1's "HEY, JOE!" as the refrain of his competition tune? He could as well have done a conversion, could he? Well, at least he also inserted a part from 2THE DOORS "LIGHT MY FIRE" in the end of "his" musical work... ... 2DOOM/II1: This one thy godly be blessed. Not does it give each coder unique inspiration for "new" effects, it also keeps PC-freaks quite busy - and who plays constantly doesn't get on our nerves, right? ... 2HYDRA/ANDROMEDA1: At the PARTY II, he appeared as a well-shaved quite big (not to say fat) young man. At the PARTY III, he suddenly wore a massive beard. At the PARTY IV, he still had his beard, but lost 25 kilos weight. Again we wait unpatiently for next years party - how will he look like then? 3Maybe 3wearing women's clothing? ... 2QUARTEX1: After 2DISC1, they are another good example for the statement that a big name doesn't help away bad work. Their bugful 40k-intro wasn't even saved by the fact that 2FACET1's and 2SUPERNAO1's help were supposed to guarantee for a success in the competition. We ain't gloating, nouh! ... 2THE SOUNDCOMPETITION1: At the PARTY III, it seemed like the organizers had a totally weak soundequipment and picked songs to be played at the audience randomly. This time it didn't seem so - it was obvious. ... 2C-LOUS1: Their 40k-intro was the first release from them, in which 2ORIGO doesn't give thousands thanks to 2EXIDOR/ex-RAZOR 1911 1for his massive help in coding. Question: Did he for the first time manage to code something on his own or would he simply have gotten out of memory for an extra line of text? ... 2APEX1: Congrats, mates! You are definately the first group to have their contribution-intro to the 40k competition displayed three times on the big screen. Well, too bad it crashed for the first two times, but - what the heck! - you have a 40k-intro breaking a worldrecord afterall! B.t.w.: I'd be thankful if you could send me a bag of these delicious menthol drops, thanks! ... 2REALITY1, 2SPACEBALLS1, etc: We guess these mates are the first and only sceners who have ever gotten a police escort for their two busses in the middle of the night when leaving a computer party. Too bad when it's two in the morning and no gasoline stations are opened so the friendly danish police has to help out, eh? 3Well, thanks for the lift up home anyway! ... 2DRAGNET1: They seem to be the first ones to have a animated stereogram in their 40k-intro. Too bad everyone thought those seemingly randomly moving dots were nothing but a crash of the intro... So that's what people actually talk about. If you ain't listened here, be sure to be completely boring, folk...
