TITLE:INTRODUCTION TO THE SHORT STORIES PART PALETTE:0113 055b 089a 09ae 3THE SHORT STORIES The first part of Macnolamia hosts a vast selection of the short stories I have written in English for various mags. In the menu it's reported the diskmag where every story should have been published first and the lenght of every file. The texts are more or less in temporal order. The first ones are the older. These stories, as all the other texts of Macnolamia, are in their original shape, included grammar and spelling mistakes. I'm too lazy to try to correct them. 2Interview with God One of my very first texts written for a scene mag. It has not much of a story and it sounds rather silly now. Decide by yourself if its easy metaphors are too banal and unoriginal. Included in this collection only thanks to its age. 2Gund's death A strange little picture with a banal minimalist finale. 2Plus and Minus Dialogue with obvious and not so obvious meanings. I'd give it a try. 2Gianna I tried to describe what could be the feelings of an ugly girl for a nice boy. The result is probably superficial and reductive, the final is banal. 2The train One of my favourite stories. It's very old, but I still do like it (it doesn't happen often with other ancient texts of mine). I love its rhythms and its melancholic feeling. 2Freedom An attempt of horror story that could interest the fans of the genre. Heavily influenced by the shocking reading of "American Psycho", by B.H. Ellis. 2The unbelievable voyage to the center of Amiga A light story with various facettes. It could give a psichiatrist a lot of material about me. It could also cheat him, maybe. 2The fall I tried to describe a normal, daylife accident with an epic style. I find the result amusing and the idea original. 2Just a dream Just a little story where you can read everything and its contrary because it's supposed to be just a dream. Not even true. 2Lara I love Lara. Lara is the perfect girl, your same desire. She shouldn't exist. I like Lara. Lara is just a love story. One of the few I tried to write. 2From the window This story has been hated and has been loved. I haven't understood what is my own opinion, maybe I haven't any. 2Atoms A short picture without plot or action. Without explanations and maybe meanings. I love it. 2Green eyes A sex story that has shocked and entertained various guys. Read it to understand why. 2Desert The usual one-situation story with final surprise. Most of my stories have this structure, for the simple fact that I'm not able to create a complex plot and keep the proper rhythms for long. 2Dead eyes A war tale not particularly original and based upon various stereotypes. 2Empty A funny thing, after all. I like it, even if when I wrote it my mind was really empty and without inspiration. Maybe its finale saves the whole text. 2Android vision An interesting, even if not too original, idea which could have been developed more deeply. The structure of the final dialogue is used in various other texts of this collection. 2Blind date I like this story for its minimum of psichological portrait of the main character. Maybe it's not too real, but I hope it's realistic enough. 2The rebellion of the rotten cadavers An humour story a bit macabre. I find it enjoyable, someone won't agree. 2Goodbye immortals One of the few good things of this story is the basic idea, which, funnily enough, is not mine. Credits for it are due to Phoenix, ex co-editor of Abnormalia now perhaps lost into dusty roads ;-) 2The secret of the universe Reading this story now I've been almost susprised by the banality of its topic moment. It was a good story, I liked it, I liked how it had been built till the "revelation" lines. There everything is ruined and banalized, I've almost had the temptation of rewriting the finale. 2The end This is the final text of Abnormalia 1. A different way of writing the usual "Final Words", I think. 2Lost A story with a glimpse of plot and decent rhythms. I don't dislike it. 2The quest for me This story is not exactly autobiographic. It could be though. It tries to explore one of the infinite ways my life could take. 2Gates of madness The prons and cons of drugs use. Probably reported in a superficial way. 2Fog I hate to drive in the fog. Reading this story I feel claustrophobic hands grabbing my stomach. Hope it does give you the same feelings. It was written for that. 2Revolution! Any relation to the italian political situation must be considered a pure coincidence. 2Clock Yet another existencial text which seems deeper than the others and which boasts better metaphors and more material for some lateral thinking. I like it, as usual. 2Book of life It must be strange to read your life written on a book. Ask to Stefan Writen how "strange" it is. 2Mortuary life The kind of job nobody talks about. I've tried to imagine how it can be. 2"Kill her" - "Kill Mary?" - "That's all you have to do" An experiment with words and narration. Maybe worth a light read. 2Dust Science fiction? And if it had already been reality? 2Cyberpunk days Up and down the 2Ciumbaspace1. Theories about a possible future. 2The bridge on the river An new attempt to confound the reader about my personality. No hunt, no pain. 2Colors and pain Another story where I try to imagine conditions or situations I haven't lived. A blind man finds his sight and loses something else. 2Metropolife A complex reading. Translated from an original italian text. The language is more thought over, it was written with a vocabulary on one hand. 2Smoke The metaphors of the first part show a style more evolved than my earlier attempts. The story, though, is the usual plotless picture which could be rather uninteresting. 2Phonecall Lovers are a strange race. Their light quarrels can become devastating wars. This is a situation that could take place in every couple. The following stories belong to The Magic Guild serie. A group were the same members are authors and characters of original fantasy stories. My handle in this group is Zulkir Maligor 2Merlyn's dream My first attempt for The Magic Guild. Unoriginal idea, readable narration. 2The Guild alone Decent plot, for my standards, and light humour make this story worth a glance. 2King The dark side of sovranity. Where the man covers the king himself. 2Sunstone My longest short story ever. Fantasy plot with irony and some almost unavoidable common places. I like it. 2The approaching nightmare An interesting idea for my future in the The Magic Guild that should have been developed and exploited. It didn't happen.
