We have looked around for scene productions where could be found funny and hilarious things, some random pearls that couldn't pass unobserved. Here's what we've found. 2Tyrant/Cadaver1 in the articles "Demopacks" on Top Secret 14 writes exactly: "Dentroes (I don't like this word because of too much negative suspence in it...) Megademoes are very cool, at least the best of them. But Onefile demos could also be very cool!"... It's remarkable the grammar and the logic of the whole speech but it's mysterious the "negative suspence" in the word Dentroes.... Trying to explain the origins of some groups' names 2Wolfman/Balance1 in the article "Where do they get the names from?" appeared in Magbox 5 explains that: "Equinox: This is a star for very far away. There is not much info on this one, sorry!". Thanks God he hadn't infos, we wonder what could happen if he could write more... maybe the equinox could become a galaxy??? Following the steps of Wolfman, 2Mop/Alcatraz1 strikes back with "Where do they get the names from? 2" on Upstream 6. He reveals that: "Andromeda: Its' the demo of an infinite galaxy!" "The Gothic's were a barbarian race of the 18th century!" Impressive! We have problems to grasp the concept of an "infinite galaxy" and we presume that the Goths had to be quite happy to be considered alive in the 18th century... Quite interesting is the 2Digital Symphosium '931 party invitation intro lately appeared around. It tells everything about the party but it forgets to tell its DATES! Great example of coherency is 2Sane/Septic1, who in "New youth chart?" (Upstream 6) confesses that: "I will not discuss the ugly things like cheating etc. again because I have already done that in other articles." Thanks for having admitted it. Italians' reputation must not be of the best in Europe if 2Wolfman1 commenting the eventuality of cheating in charts writes in an article of his mag: "There can't be much cheating on The Charts or the Officila Eurochart, but since it's obvious in the blood of the Italians, who can tell if the editors from RAMJAM are accepting bribe...;-)" Wolfman has got the point! RAM JAM Charts are the only charts where Abnormalia ranked in the first five positions... ;-> News in diskmags are always an good place where we look for some pearls, in 2Visual Intensity issue 1 1by Dual 4mat we are told, in the news: "Dual 4mat are finally on the 'scene' and kicking hard with their first production, a diskmag called 'Visual Intensity' due for release on the 31st August (NO WAAYYYY!)" and also: "DUAL 4MAT are in desperate need of articles for their funky new diskmag all contributions should be sent to ATOM". Thanks for the revelation, but somehow we had already guessed that Dual 4mat had done a mag called Visual Intensity. A neat piece of irony and self irony: the slogan of 2Headline1, new mag from Stone Arts is: We hardly try. Much better than who tries harder or who tries hardest. 2Top Secret 141 in the "Statements" article reports these words from Lone Starr/Spaceballs, taken from RAW5 and referred to Melon: "I like their graphics, it's just as good as if it was made by me" Nothing bad in that, if not for the fact that those words were part of a fake interview with Lone Starr. Our hope that such jokes were obvious and evident has gone in the dust: somebody still hasn't understood the difference between real interviews and fake interviews... By the way, the same interview was published on the last Scenarium too... maybe this could prove something? (That RAW is copying us? :-O -ed) 3----------------------------------- 2ISSUE 43 ----------------------------------- These are the credits written in 3Nightfall1's Flowers Pack serie. Compiled - Benjo; Code - Dsk; Graphics - Lynx; 2Idea - Xad1. We must recognize that Xad's idea to make a new demo pack was outstandingly original. In 3Eternal 21 appears a nice story entitled "Revenge of the lamers" written by 2Wizard/Centura1. It's the hard and heroic experience of the author who, having got across a "lamer" and his "lame" acts, decides to have his revenge on the poor being. His joke raises the wrath of the lamer's father with whom our hero has finally to excuse himself in order to avoid worse problems. A marvellous example of computer damage on kids under 12. In 3Upstream 71 by Balance we have discovered a new way of creating articles. 2Wolfman1, seriously affected by a severe attack of 2Journalistite1, a desease which transfors normal and seemingly peaceful editors in mad scoop seekers and scandalistic journalists, has written a pair of pearl of rare value. The first one, 2RWO - A casanova in trouble1, is an incredibly interesting article about RWO, his girlfriend and his problems. The second one, 2Famous musician with racistic opinions1, talks about Heatbeat and his possible racistic ideas. You can look forward to grab the next issue of Upstream and of many other diskmags for more pearls of this genre. In the issue 12E of 3SledgeHammer1 another RAW's vicious lies is unveiled to the scene! In the article 2"The Spy can drive!"1 we are told that contrary to RAW's statements the Spy hasn't any problems with driving licences! Journalistite is spreading... In 3The Jungle 51 an interesting article by 2Friendly/Damian1 is titled: 2"Too many 2charts spoil the scene"1. It's a common SOwhat?-2000 bytes-filler, similar to the ones who appear in every mag, but that's not the point. Besides the fact that the article's content doesn't matter too much with the meaning of the title, it's remarkable to notice how the same Jungle boast an interesting Best Coders-Demos-Games-GFX artists-Groups-Musicians-Trackmos chart. Maybe Friendly is not informed of the contents of the mag of his own group when he says: "Nobody takes the small Charts very serious. And that's good..." 3Visual Intensity 21 by Dual Format. Article: 2"Scene News"1. We quote: "THE COOKIE MONTER is now the other main editor of Visual Intensity (weeeeeeeeeee!)". A bright example of innovative and informative news. 3RAW1 did it again, even if we haven't been the first ones to have spotted it (the guys in The Jungle 5, directly involved, have immediately caught the pearl). In his editorial of the 6th issue, 2Lord Helmet1, proud of the new code the good Perplex has done declares: "In this issue we bring you a brand new concept never before made by a diskmag. RAW is from this issue Multitasked!". Besides the usual nice spandimerda tone there's just to note that The Jungle had made it some months before. Thanks for the laugh, Lord! 3RAW1 tries harder once more. In the article 2"Melon Dezign - To be disbanded?" (Issue 6) it's written, as a confidential news, that Melon Dezign are going to die all at once, possibly in the occasion of The Party III. In order to prove what is written in this clamorous and unexpected news the "unknown" writer generates this 3Golden Pearl1: "If Melon find this rumour false, we advice Melon to release an intro within 14 days where they tell the scene about their future plans. To the readers: If you don't get this intro within 3 weeks you can be sure that this rumour is true!!!". Congratulations! 2The best pearl of scene history. 3----------------------------------- 2ISSUE 53 ----------------------------------- It interesting to notice the coherent attitude of 42 editors about copyrights. In their 2"Disclaimer and Copyright notes"1, an article strictly necessary and fundamental for every contemporary diskmag, they write: 2"Copyright are only for 2cowards"1. Interesting idea, especially considered that in the loading cli text they underline that 42 is (C) of Talent. Are 42 dudes self-conscious cowards? Golden pearls in ROM? Hard to say. Maybe the whole mag is a scene pearl, maybe all it's introductory articles, maybe simply whatever has been gathered in the 3ROM BLOB - Drops of concentrated spandimerda juice and more : " 2Forget all that you've learned in the past. You are just about to experience 2 the rise of a new standard. 2 The scener is a bright young man, who needs a good and entertaining guide to 2 this world called scene.
