I  admit  that  Radio One may have it's strong points, it has Pete Tong,
Judge  Jules and Carl Cox.  I used to listen to Juley and Coxy when they
were  on  Kiss  105  but  just can't listen any more.  The sheer idea of
tuning  into  a BBC station disgusts me, it gives me this horrible image
of  Tony  Blackburn  with  a  frizzy  hair  cut  saying "Heeyy!  Morning
pop-pickers!" and all these 1960's kids dancing to Wombles Records (!!).

Yes,  there's been a fair amount of shit at number one in the UK charts.
It's  the simple fact that most of the UK record buying public are total
tone-deaf  idiots.   How  on  Earth could the fact that Mr Blobby, Aqua,
Teletubbies and the Spice Girls have reached the top position?

It  IS the same Stuart Campbell who worked for Amiga Power.  Some people
just don't respect their roots do they?  The machine that helped him get
where  he  is  now  (albeit, not very far, but there you go), just total
disrespect  for  the  Amiga, and there's no need for it.  It's childish,
immature  and  pointless; although recently it seems to have slowed down
considerably  since  the  introduction  of  a different editorial team I
suspect.

Yes and stereotypes in general.  Just because you've worked hard and got
a decent car, live in a nice area of the town and have a good job all of
a sudden you're a snob.  To be honest the comments have come from people
who  most  folk  would  cross  the  street to avoid, but why some people
assume  that  you must instantly be "posh" and "up yourself" because you
pronounce  all your "h"s and "t"s and say "Mum" instead of this region's
"mam"  and  because  your accent isn't typical of the area then suddenly
you're "middle class" it's beyond me.  When you don't know someone, like
in  the sitation you mentioned of the six-foot skinhead with "My mum's a
Nazi"  tatooed  on  his  forehead,  all  you  have  to  go  on  is first
impressions, but you shouldn't make assumptions until you actually know.

Yes  it would be true that you could VASTLY increase the running time of
CDs  by  introducing  compression  methods,  but  they  won't ever do it
because  it  would  make the discs incompatible with the millions of old
players  around.   The actual running time of a CD is about 80 mins, but
99.999% of commercial CDs don't use up more than 74 mins, the reason for
this  is  because  some  very  early  players had trouble reading 80 min
discs,  and  to keep compatibility with them all CDs stick to the 74 min
limit, even though it's vastly outdated now.

What  part of his body did Bill Gates name "Micro-Soft" after anyway?...
I  think  we  should  be  told.  Win 95 is still very unstable, I use it
nearly  everyday and the amount of bottle knecks and those damn "hidden"
files,  and the system ASSUMING it knows where to put files best, REALLY
piss me off.  With the Amiga the user is given almost total control, and
you  know  what  everything  does and why it does it, with a PC it's all
hidden  away,  which makes bug finding and customising a messy business.
Plus  the  fact that Windows still doesn't FEEL as nice as Workbench and
still isn't as efficient.

Obviously  you  were  being  ironic  with this, but like people anywhere
else,  we  have  cultural differences, it happens all over the world.  I
bet  in  some  American  diskmag there's a similar article having ago at
"English DIE DIE DIE...etc".

I'm a sore loser as well, the amount of joysticks I've smashed to pieces
when  I  see  the  "Game  Over" screen I couldn't care to confess to.  I
still  remember  that  game  of Captain Planet (don't snigger!  It was a
long time ago) it used to piss me off so much, I once punched a joystick
and  the  stick  part of it came off and flew across the room and out of
the window, hehe.

$fbfPEOPLE WHO KNOW ALL THE WORDS TO EVERY SONG

While  I  do  know the words to a hell of a lot of songs, I usually keep
them  to  myself.  But you can't help having a sing-a-long in your mind.
Right  now  i'm  all  by  myself,  so  singing at the top of my voice to
"Forgiven  (I  Feel  Your  Love" by "The Space Brothers" 'cos it's a top
house  tune.   But apparently I've got a pretty decent singing voice, so
not too bad is it?
