yourself to the readers.

±43C.A.T:±41  We consist of Groo±11 &±41 Rufferto,
the two nice graphicians.  We are both
male,  both  18 years old, both living
in  Mettmann,  both  visiting the same
school,  both  having  the  same major
courses,  both  sitting  next  to each
other  in  there.   And  we  are  both
answering this±42 stupid ±41interview!
±43Dolphin:±42   How  much time do you spend
on a full-screen picture?

±43C.A.T: ±41  It  depends  on  our mood and
motivation and of course on the mental
state  of  our  digitizer  (NOT!).  If
there's  time pressure we can finish a
picture within some days, with lacking
quality   of   course!    If  we  want
something   to   look  as  perfect  as
possible, it can take up to some weeks
or a month.

±43Dolphin:±42    Where   do  you  get  your
inspiration?    Do   you   copy   from
allready exisisting pictures or do you
always use your own imagination?

±43C.A.T: ±41   If  we  would  use  our  own
imagination,  our pictures would maybe
get  x-rated,  so we usually prefer to
copy  from  existing pictures.  By the
way,  we  think  that  most people who
claim   to  develop  pictures  without
copying  generally  use small parts of
existing  pictures and then make a new
picture out of it...

±43Dolphin:±42   Have  you ever been tempted
to use a digitizer?

±43C.A.T:  ±41  Hm,   it   tempts  to  quote
Shakespeare at this place:

"Absence, say, of Susan's,
Absence of Egeria's
Arms and respective bosoms,
Lips and, ah, posteriors,
Slowly form a presence;
Whose? and I ask, of what
So absurd an essence,
That something, which is not,
Nevertheless should populate
Empty night more solidly
Than that with which we copulate,
Why should it seem so squalidly?"

Well,  all we want to say through this
is:  'NOOOOOOO!!  NEVER!!!!!'

±43Dolphin:±42   How  many 8*8 fontsets have
you ever painted in your life?  Do you
plan on painting any more of them?

±43C.A.T:±41   Oh  my!   I (Rufferto) had to
paint hundered zillions of them when I
was  in  Addonic, because at that time
Darkcave/Addonic  did  a  new code for
the  'Message  Center', which was able
to handle so many fonts, that I almost
got  a  'fontician' those days.  Hi to
my  font partner Dragon/Addonic!  Data
aussen rulez!  ...  Well today there's
sometimes  need  of  8*8 fonts when it
somes  to  pack menus or intros.  Then
we either do a very simple one in some
minutes  or we just reincarnate an old
one.

±43Dolphin:±42  Please mention some pictures
from other graphicians which you think
deserves your respect!

±43C.A.T: ±41  Ok,  here is a little list of
our favourite pictures:
Cougar's Xmas Party pictures, Cougar's
Train  and  almost anything else which
starts with 'C' and ends with 'ougar'!
Then Ra has done some good ones.  E.g.
Einstein  or  the  AD&D  picture  from
Arte.   The  anti digit mode was a bit
senseless, anyway the picture is nice!
Uno's old pictures are incredible!  He
really  gave  something to the today's
graphicians!   Walt and Hof are always
good  for  something original.  That's
what   should   be   respected  today!
Nevertheless you should once listen to
a  song from Bad Religion entitled 'We
will  all die from our own arrogance'.
No  hard feelings!  Finally we have to
mention  the Claudia Schiffer portrait
by  D-Sign/Essence!  Jaja, der Massimo
hat's  raus!   Oops!  We forgot Suny's
picture from The Party II!

±43Dolphin:±42   Do  you  think  it's easily
spotted  if someone digitize a picture
and  then  participate  in  a graphics
competition?
±43C.A.T: ±41  No,  no  way!  Most 'scanning
accusations'   result   of  prejudices
against certain graphicians!  E.g.  if
a  totally  unknown person gets highly
ranked  (happened  to  us in Aars 92),
people do not accept his work.  On the
other  hand  when  a famous graphist's
picture  looks  a  little bit scanned,
this  is  declared  as  'new  invented
technique' or something like this.  In
our  opinion  a famous guy can scan as
much  as  he  likes - he will never be
accused of having done this!  We could
write  names  here, but we experienced
how  lame  it is to spectaculate about
others without having good evidences!

±43Dolphin: ±42  Now ask yourself a question
and answer it!

±43C.A.T:±41 Quel heure est-il?
