Having never been to London before I had no idea of the size which the exhibitions took up. Well the day had come - Sunday 25th September and it was to be a new experience for me... P7Well after a long slow drive to Earls Court we were told to sod off and find a parking space somewhere else because all the Earls Court carparks were full! So after finding a space down a back street in front of someones living room window, I treked off back towars Earls Court. Upon dragging myself up the steps I had to que for only a few minutes to get a ticket. After convincing the women at the ticket kiosk that I was under 16 (hehe! It was only P2£3.00)P7; I bobbed on through the turnstyle. Collecting my very stylish 'Microsoft' bag and guide booklet I set off for a day of freebie collecting! P1Not knowing what to expect to be on show I was hit with loads of musical shit. Not being intrested in all that stuff I headed for the computers/TVs/Hi-Fi's. Wo! First visit was straight to the P2SONYP1 stand, and what a corker. The walk through trail was excellent. A small circular room filled with light laser and booming music chanting 'sony'. Then continuing the walk along the Sony stand you traveled through a tube of TV's. There must have been at least 100! P3After the Sony stand the 'others' were pretty disapointing and mostly they were just like going into a shop and seeing different models on shelves - not even turned on! Examining the Live'94 guide I hunted for some decent stands... Philips, Sega, Sky TV (all crappy!) and then the Panasonic 3D0... at last something good at the show. After queing for what seemed like bloody ages I finally got a chance to get inside this 3D0 shaped lorry and 'enter the new world' as Pansaonic had you belive. Well having only 7 minutes time to play on games and most people were hogging all the good games I was stuck with a choice of 'Microcosom' or some teddy bear educational adventure. What a good choice! The only good thing I got out of the 3D0 stand was the neat little 'credit card' thingy. P1As I slipped around Earls Court I was loaded up with all sorts of junk advertising and freebies!! Here is some of the better ones :- P1Philips ball point pen P7Sony mini disc P3Cannon BJC-4000 biro and pencil P1Sky-TV Balloon P5Computer shopper magazine x 3 (Free coverdisks!!) P6Sky-TV 3D Glasses P7Micro Mart Magazine P3Probably the best thing I got outa going to LIVE'94 was the freebies!! Well that's all you need to know so I'll leave ya for now.P1
