|1-Alien Civilisations? Aladdin Sane/iNDi In reply to the plethora of Alien articles in TW#6, I am writing this short article to try to convert a few more "non-believers" to our way of thinking. A common argument I come across when discussing the subject of Extra-Terrestrial life goes something along the lines of; "If Aliens do exist, why haven't we heard of them making any close contact in the past?" The question is fair enough, but who says they haven't? Ancient history, for those, like myself, who have studied it - albeit briefly, is riddled with unexplained shifts and jumps both technological and socialogical. Later in this article, I will also show that a number of the historical and religious writings of various ancient cultures, from the Sumerians to contemporary Christianity, could have been deeply influenced by Extra-Terrestrial "contact". |1-Clues from the past From what we know of Prehistoric man's spiritual beliefs, the first known examples of deities were ALL women, often naked and invariably pregnant. This is logical when thought of from early man's point of view. To him, women were the source of all life, they produced young and were thought of as the progenitor of creation. However, around 4500 BC man suddenly began to worship MALE gods, and these masculine divinities rose to prominence at an astounding rate. This sudden switch is completely unexplained, until one applies the premise that the inhabitants of the earth around this time were visited by extra- terrestrials. Even if this "scouting party" of aliens, not unlike ourselves, was comprised of a number of females, to the eyes of primitive man, a woman in a spacesuit would appear to be a slim man. The discovery of fire, the most basic technological advancement, and perhaps the most important, how was it done? What about the invention of the wheel? These two MAJOR discoveries were massively important in the development of human society, and yet we find it impossible to explain how they occured. Could an outside influence have been at work here also? The ancient Sumerians made reference to a race of immortals who frequently visited them and gave them great knowledge, saying how they travelled on chariots that flew with tails of flame. A number of Mythologies from other cultures refer to flying chariots in this manner, such as the Norse myth of the "Great Hunt", et cetera. Further, the Valkyries, who took the dead heroes to the land of Valhalla, in some descriptions draw some parallels with possilbe alien entities. I have also learned that some are now arguing that the industrial revolution of the eighteenth century happened almost too rapidly, though, personally, I doubt an Alien intelligence was at work here, or at least SOME documentation would exist! |1-Aliens in the Bible? ^23^^40 Even the when reading the Christian bible, a number of passages can be seen to show possible reference to Extra-Terrestrial intervention. In the Old Testament, when Moses leads his people to the promised land, guided by a pillar of flame, this pillar could easily be compared with the emissions from a jet engine. Several of the major characters in the Old Testament are noted as having exceptionally long lives, living well- over 100 years, this was explained through the reasoning that years were shorter than they are now. Could it be, however, that they were aliens, or their lifespan was lengthened by alien beings? Not such an outrageous suggestion if you have actually read the bible OBJECTIVELY. This is a contentious issue that I am about to make, and I take full responsibility for any possible repercussions (short of Holy war!) so BE WARNED! Could Christ actually have been an Alien? The "Star of Bethlehem", said to have shone over his birthplace, could have been a spacecraft. It would also explain his "healing miracles". Today's most basic drugs, like Penicillin, would seem to be miracles around that time. |1-Mysteries Explained...? ^24^^400 Some of the greatest mysteries of the world, how the Aztecs became so advanced, how Stonehenge was built, et cetera, all can be explained quite easily by the application of the single premise that this planet has been visited on a number of occasions by an alien culture or cultures. Atlantis (actually referred to as a real place in some ancient Egyptian texts from around the time of Rameses II) has baffled scientists and historians and caused innumerable debates, could its creation (or destruction?) have been influenced by aliens? Why were large chalk-drawings - such as the Cerne Abbas giant in Dorset - made in some places, for example in the southern regions of England, which could only be viewed properly from the air - so their artists had no means to view them for themselves? --- BEWARE EARTHLINGS ! We are watching you, we monitor your crude methods of information transfer and know all that you are, all that you feel, and we have heard about Freak's new bird! We are waiting for the appropriate time at which point we will strike. Some of you may join us! Come the invasion, those with their underpants on their heads will be spared and taken back to our homeworld to be incorporated into our society. Until the invasion... --- I am not saying that any or all of these occurences are due to alien intervention, but I am merely attempting to shake off your reliance on others to tell what is and is not true, WORK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF! I hope that my arguments in this article have at least caused some of you to rethink your position and question your beliefs concerning the possibility of Extra-Terrestrial life.
