VIScorp, Visual Information Service Corp, an Interactive TV devloper
has/is going to buy Amiga Technologies from Escom AG, see this issue
for a EXCLUSIVE, interview with VIScorp

MicroSoft has recently announced a new 'standard' called the 'simply
interactive PC' this is suppose to be CDTV/CD-I/ED set top box based
on a PC for connecting to the 'net etc, lets hope VIScorp kick butt 
with the 'ED' using Amiga Technology.

Nec are to unveil there Digital Video Disc, recording machine in the
Autumn, the NEC device can store upto 10.4gb of data on a Disc and 
supports mpeg-2

Ilyama have released a new monitor, the Vision Master 15, it has 0.28mm
dot pitch and has digital controls, low radiation. 30-65khz Horizontal,
and 50-100hz vertical, i.e it supports GFX cards and scan doubled modes
with the AGA chipset.

Silicon Graphics has bought out Cray Research. Cray known for there
super computers, use chips from SUN and Digital, now its more than 
likely these will be dumped for SGI own chips.

According to GALLUP, the Amiga Version of Sensible Soccer 95/96 has
topped the charts with Team 17's worms comming in 3rd place!, who said
the Amiga is dead?

Apple Computer, makers on the Apple Mac, have licensed the MAC
technology to MOTOROLA's computer division. This will allow MOTOROLA 
to make Mac clones using the PowerPC chip. 

Escom AG, have licensed IOMEGA'S zip drive to put in there range of PC'S
as standard in the future. 

Escom AG, Manfrid Schmit the president of Escom AG has resigned, due to
the losses of Escom (£50 million pounds), a new president has been
appointed, Helmut Jolst. Jolst was at one type president of C= Germany.
Funnily enough soon as Jolst became president, Amiga Tech has suddenly 
been sold!, cant be a coincedence?. Respect goes out to Manfrid for
buying the Amiga and restarting production!.

Escom again, they are offering a special offer to all old A500/600
owners, they can trade in there old machine and get a new Amiga
Technologies, A1200 for £250!, now is the time to upgrade for all you 
1.3 owners!.

Amiga Technologies recently announced there sales figures for the last
year, they have sold approx. 40,000 A1200 worldwide and only 2000
A4000T. Petro Tyschtschenko said that the sales were 'satisfactory'
2000 units were only sold because of a cockup in the states with a
Dealer SMG. SMG have now been sacked as dealer and QuickPak have been
appionted as new Dealers.

Alternative World BBS, is down to a HardDrive crash, it should be back 
online soon bigger and better.

Quantum Leap for Amiga BBS, has shut down. The BBS was the home of 
'Quantum Net' run by Peter Laws author of Final Word.
