25th August 1994 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Poor old Freak of NFA has been given the not-quite-enviable job of getting a few more members in through the door at NFA following the decimation by FAST and the weeding that Deck the Ripper did a while before that. We are looking for members all over the country, either those of you out on your own struggling for recognition or those in other groups who are a little unhappy with things. We are not particularly bothered wether you are legal or not, all that really matters is wether you can produce quality work and can interact with the rest of the group. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- We are looking for the following: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Mail Traders Somebody with 30+ active contacts who can spread ~~~~~~~~~~~~ any NFA productions like they`re going out of style. you'll naturally be first to receive NFA prods through the post from the rest of the posse. BBS Site A Distribution site for NFA productions would do ~~~~~~~~ but we're also looking to secure another BBS to fly under the NFA flag. Your board will get all the NFA (and now Anne Airhead) prods as quickly as possible, and we'd like somebody prepared to offer subscription options for poor uploaders (like ME!). Modem Traders To support this and other BBSs, you'll have to ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ talk to our producers and spread their wares for them if they're unable to get on a board themselves. Also you'll be asked to keep your eyes peeled for utils, demos and games that can go into packs of all shapes and sizes. Artists We want some more graphics dudes capable of high ~~~~~~~ quality art ranging from Logos to portraits etc etc. A distinctive style would help too! You don't need to use AGA modes either! Musicians Mods are always needed for various productions ~~~~~~~~~ from AGA slideshows to The Word music. You will need to be able to produce all sorts of stuff from ballads to rock-tracks, chip tunes to 300k+ monsters! Programmers Did you know that The Word #3 was written using ~~~~~~~~~~~ AMOS?? If you can program in AMOS, Blitz, C or Assembler then write to us, you don't need to be a technical wizard, just competent! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- If you think you have got what we're after and are interested in joining NFA then get in touch with either of the following: Modem Traders and BBSs write to Deck the Ripper (Manager) at: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NFA P.O.Box 323, Campbell Street, Leicester. LE1 5XP Mailtraders, Artists, Musicians and Coders write to Freak (Co-Manager) at: ~~~~~ NFA P.O.Box 42, Grimsby, South Humberside. DN33 1RY -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- It would help if you lived near to an NFA member already but this isn't really necessary, just an advantage! We are also willing to consider absorbing several members from groups that have gone down the pan, if your group has died then why not get in touch? People writing to Freak (i.e the "Producers" as opposed to the "Support Members") should enclose examples of their work and send a "CV" giving info on their scene history and why they'd like to join, all the usual blah blah bumph that you'd need for a job! Hey if you can get a reference as well then that'd be even better! Heheheheh... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- So what do you get out of this deal? Well apart from joining a group that's fast making a name for itself, you get to sample the benefits of "Dr. Deck's Pooter Surgery", otherwise known the the NFA-WHQ or even "The Sausage Factory". This is Deck the Ripper frantically giving you good deals on all sorts of pooter-orientated hardware and software, from a disk-drive cleaning kit to a complete pooter! NFA members get the stuff (usually) at a cheaper rate than everybody else, sometimes even at cost if the going's good (don't tell him I said that - he'll throw a bloody wobbler!). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
