     (JUMPDISK NOTE: This program cannot be run from the Workbench on 512K
Amigas. The solution is to reboot with Workbench and as soon as the
Commodore copyright information appears, press CTRL and D keys to the stop
the bootand produce a CLI prompt. Type:

cd j:nutrients <press Return>
nutrients.quiz <press Return>

The program will run. After ending the program, reboot as usual. By not
loading Workbench enough memory is kept clear to accommodate this program.
     If you have 512K and want to avoid the CLI, then use the Basic version
of the program, which is included in the drawer and which asks for an EXTRAS
disk with AmigaBASIC on it. See ABOUTBASIC for more information on this.)

     Do you know why vitamins are important? How about the results of vitamin
deficiencies?
     The Nutrient Quiz is a good tool to both teach and evaluate your
knowledge of nutrition. The program should help you associate nutritional
facts with all 44 nutrients. The quiz is educational and can also be fun.
However, this program is not intended to be or should it be used as a medical
diagnostic tool. The program has numerous facts and 119 questions about
nutrients.
     Not all nutritional authorities would agree with all of the information
contained in this program, but then nutrition has many controversial areas.
For more information on nutrition, you could read one or all of the
references listed in the program or find other references. Enough about
books. Let's cover the program.
     When you open the Nutrient Drawer you will notice two apple icons, one
for the Basic program and one for the compiled version. Regrettably, the
compiled version uses more memory, for reasons I need not cover. If you have
free memory of over 365,000, use the compiled version; it's much faster.

365,000, you'll have to used the Basic version.
     Nutrient Quiz uses much memory. Amiga 512K owners should drag the
program icon outside its window and close all windows before running it.
     The program is designed so you don't need any instructions, but here
are some anyway: After the program loads you will be asked to select the
tutor or one of two tests. Indicate your choice by clicking the left mouse
button on the appropriate section. If you choose the tutor, click on the
nutrient you wish to learn about. You can review all or any portion of the
nutrients' data files.
     When you wish to return to the original selection choices, click on
CLICK HERE TO EXIT TUTOR. When you select the 10- or 25-question test, easy
instructions are provided on the screen.
    Nutrient Quiz requires much memory, so close all other windows first.
You may wish to open the tutor for each nutrient at least once, before you
take a test.
