FullView: 80-column Text Reader With Compression Feature

     (JUMPDISK NOTE: Publishing FullView puts us in a ticklish position,
in that we have crunched the text of this article using PowerPacker, rather
than author Potter's FVCompress program. The reason? The balance of this
issue's text is compacted by PowerPacker, and we felt the issue should be
consistently presented. To try the FVCompress program, use some uncrunched
text of your own. You may find you prefer FullView with its 80-column
range.)

     FullView is a text viewer with a basic difference from all other text
viewers I have seen: The up/down gadgets are at the bottom of the screen,
rather than the side. This means you get the full 80 columns across, instead
of only 78. FullView will also open up to the height of the Workbench
screen, meaning you get the maximum possible screen size. FullView has very
fast scrolling. In an effort to speed scrolling, no support has been given
for ANSI codes.
     To start FullView as it exists on this issue of JUMPDISK, type from the
CLI:

j:fullview/fullView filename    <press Return>

     From the Workbench, double-click on a project icon that has FullView as
its default tool.
     FullView features a hi-res screen, three gadgets and two menus. The
gadgets are at the bottom of the screen. The up- and down-arrows move you in
those directions through the text. The status bar between the two arrows
tells the current position in the file. The close gadget at the top provides
a way to exit the program.
     The first menu, Project, contains the following options:

  [NB A-xx means RIGHT-AMIGA + xx]

  Load   (A-L) - Load a new text file from within FullView.
  Search (A-S) - Search for a specified text string in the text.
  Scroll (1-6) - Change the scroll speed, 1 the slowest, 6 the fastest.
  Print  (A-P) - Print the current text to a file, including the printer,
                 PRT:. Also provides a way to make an ASCII save of a
                 compressed file.
  About  (A-A) - Displays a requester giving short program info.
  Quit   (A-Q) - Exits FullView.

     The second menu, Move, contains the following options:

  Top       (A-T) - Move to the top of the current text.
  Bottom    (A-B) - Move to the bottom of the current text.
  Page Up   (A-U) - Move one page upward.
  Page Down (A-D) - Move one page downward.

     The following keys may be used in FullView :

  Up Arrow
  Left Arrow   - Move one line up. With SHIFT, move one page up.
                 With CTRL, move to top of file

  Down Arrow
  Right Arrow  - Move one line down. With SHIFT, move one page down.
                 With CTRL, move to bottom of file.

     FullView also allows you to load files compressed with the FVCompress
program accompanying FullView. The compression generally yields between a
30 and 50 percent reduction in size.
     FullView is freely distributable but is not in the public domain. If
