MISC 10 (FISH AQUARIUM DISK)  

     *** UPDATED NOVMEBER 92 TO FISH 750 ***

Covering all the Fish disks, with Powerpacked data files -
read the "readmefirst" file on the disk which tells you to get the utility
"PP" going so that the files can be uncrunched on the fly. Thanks to Ken
Simpson for sending this in.

    This is one of the best ideas to come up for a while.  You can easily
  "bait" the fishes, by entering a keyword and letting it scan, or
  entering the program name and locating it in mere seconds.  You can also
  specify a combination of topics, e.g. "Graphics & Sounds" and let it
  list all those related files.  Very well done, helped me to find some
  programs I've always been looking for somewhere in Fish with amazing
  efficiency ! (I found two or three versions of each !)





MISC 10 C

COMPLETE MEGADISC HD CATALOGUE  *** UPDATED 15 SEPT '92 ***

   The complete Megadisc catalogue, both discs, set up to unarchive onto hard
  disk. An iconned script for that purpose is included, as is the LZ
  archiving program. This disk is now so full that you'll have to enter via
  the CLI. Thanks to Paul McLachlan for this one.



   
MISC 10D  ** UPDATED 5/12/92 **

FISHLIST AS TEXT

   This disk, thrown together by Daniel Rutter, contains an enormous
  PowerPacked text file which contains the contents files from every Fish
  disk that ever there was, from 1 to 760 in numerical order. I recommend you unpack it
and put it on
  your hard disk, and use a fast text editor like CEDPro to search through
  the 1.2 megabytes of uncompressed ASCII. It CAN be used from floppy with
  the help of PP, the PowerPacker Patcher, but you'll need a couple of
  megabytes of RAM. I find this textfile a much simpler way of finding stuff
  than Aquarium. It's not bootable and the list is iconned to display with
  Fullview but I DON'T recommend using Fullview's slow search function to
  find anything!

CITIZEN PRINTMANAGER

   Updated Nov '92 - thanks to Norm Campbell for sending this in.

   This new version has a manual in the Extra drawer, and has a number of
  new features to help improve output via your Citizen printer. Well worth
  getting if you have such a printer.


   This is a cut down version of the commercial TurboPrint Professional
  package, without poster print, 6 of the print quality enhancements (only 3
  work in this version) and drivers for other than Citizen printers - but you
  can still load in your favourite driver and have it work. It's still a
  great utility for improving output from any dot matrix printer you have a
  driver for. Thanks to William Bulloch for sending it in; the disk is
  fully iconned.

    Updated 11/11/92: According to Chas Wyndham, the author:

   P-Suite is an integrated set of programmes for the production of
  better & brighter texts, has changed a great deal since last updated. The set
  now consists of:

   P-Reader.  A comprehensive text reader for ALL purposes. In addition to
      showing 'normal' texts it can be used to display pictures (ILBM format)
      , animations (anim5), and sounds (8SVX).  Finally it can display texts 
      incorporating any of these as illustrations.

   P-Writer.  A text editor with full facilities for writing texts - plain or
      illustrated.  You may prefer to use your normal editor for writing the
      body of a text and then transfer the file to P-Writer for the inclusion
      of colour and style changes and to enter calls for illustrations.
 
   P-Compress. A highly efficient and flexible LZH compression program that
      will compress any file of any type more efficiently than other general-
      purpose compressors (inluding PowerPacker). P-Reader can display texts,
      pics etc direct from the compressed state, and P-Writer will load and 
      save either compressed or uncompressed files. 

   P-Animator. A full 3D animation programme.  

   P-Index.    A programme to produce attractive header or index pages which
      may be used to replace arrays of icons.

   P-Check.    A small utility for checking the suitability of pictures and
      animations for use as illustrations.
 
   P-Fixlib.   A utility that patches DOS so that compressed libraries, icons,
      fonts, docs and execs can be used as though they had not been compressed  

   P-Unpack.   A utility which efficiently decompresses and sorts multiple
      files which have been compressed into a P-Compress PACK.

I have added a DirectoryOpus drawer, with an example of how to use ARexx
with PowerPacker and DOpus to (de)crunch files without having to
independently fire up PowerPacker.  Maybe over time other DOpus examples
will be added.
Also on this disk are numerous reviews and tutorials from previous 
Megadiscs having to do with ARexx, along with examples of code.

JASON LOWE'S GAME DISK  *** UPDATED October 92 ***

  NUMBERS UP (now V. 1.2)
    Brilliant game. Numbers move along the bottom of the screen. Hit the
  button to fire them to the ceiling. If they land on or next to another
  number, the two are multiplied and added to your score. If they land
  next to or on an identical number, though, g ame over. Ditto if you
  fill up a column. Fun, bootable, iconned, sent in by Jason Lowe, the
  (local) author.

  CIRCLES UP - Game not unlike Numbers up above with differences.

  STAR V. 1.0 - program with tutorial on C programming & source in C.

  THE MATHS ADVENTURE - Educational adventure game which requires you to
  answer maths questions to move from place to place and to solve the
  riddle, to which clues are given with correct answers.

  This disk will soon be updated again, and there is full documentation for
