DOCTOR WHO VARIATIONS ON A DISK II Music & Concept - James Potter. Menu Programming & Disk Management - James Hart. Graphical Enhancements & Other Graphics - Stephen Gladwin. Before I go on could I please say thank you very much for deciding to obtain this disk - I hope you find it, at the very least, ever so slightly enjoyable. If you don't, tough. You've just blew a quid on something that will probably end up as a blank disk. Now, having got that out of the way, I'd like to thank James Hart for programming the menu system (it was done on AMOS, you know) and I'd like to thank Stephen Gladwin for touching-up the graphics that I 'borrowed' from Alternative Software's Dalek Attack, thanks to them by the way. Oh and thank you to 17Bit - if you're reading this then that means that they really did put it in their library! This disk represents my contribution towards celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of Doctor Who. At time of writing, The Dark Dimension (the proposed 90-Min special) has long been cancelled, The Paradise of Death has been transmitted on Radio 5 (and it was bloody good too!), The Airzone Solution (starring Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Nicola Bryant, Peter Davison and Jon Pertwee) has gone on sale and sold out in droves, Panopticon '93 has been held (the biggest, best and most fantastic Who convention EVER!), BBC1 have started showing Planet of the Daleks (against Coronation Street - will they ever learn?), Radio 2 have done a documentary on the anniversary, as have BBC1, Children in Need have shown a special Doctor Who story in 3D, the confusing ending of which was shown on Noel's House Party, the Daleks Box Set and The Trial of a Time Lord have sold really well, as have Ressurection of the Daleks and The Two Doctors, and generally everyone's been pretty happy. In case you're wondering, the samples on the Anniversary Mix come from :- "Eh? Doctor Who? What is he talking about?" - An Unearthly Child#1. "You're leader will be angry if you kill me! I'm a genius." - The Seeds of Death#2 or #3 (or maybe #4, I honestly can't remember). "Bigger on the inside than it is on the outside." - The Three Doctors#1. "You may be a Doctor, but I'm the Doctor." - Robot#1. "Well, I'm generally known as the Doctor." - The Caves of Androzani#1. "I'm not anyone, Peri. I happen to be me!" - The Twin Dilemma#1. "Come on Ace, we've got work to do!" - Survival#3. "Is that all gibberish, or do you really know what you're talking about?" - The Invasion#6 or #7. Somewhere around there. Bloomin' eck! I didn't realise that writing readme.doc's could be so difficult. Looks like I'll have to stop here, due to me running out of things to say. Oh well, I'll be seeing you then. Ah, yes. If you see a copy of Amiga Power with a game on it called Catapult, hopefully my name will be on it, as this is a game I'm working on with Stephen and James and we're hoping to get it on the cover of the greatest Amiga games magazine in the world. It'll be good. Honest. Cheery-bye. James Potter.
