        Here we have a program that allows to use AMIGA as a sampleplayer.
     It is especially made for D.J.s but everybody can be satisfied using
     it (Video, Film...).

     NASP v3.03
     ==========

     1) Compatibility with A1200/A4000 *

     2) Key patched for A600 users

     NASP v3.02
     ==========

     1) Bug fixed in a tetx routing.

     2) In the file requester "DRAWERS" icon becomes "DISK"icon.

     3) Code alignment in memory.

     NASP v3.01
     ==========

     1) Big Bug in "SET" and "CLEAR" functions removed.

     2) The "Copy Samples Fast to Chip" routine is more faster.

     NASP v3.00
     ==========

     1) New graphics look with some bitplanes. It's nicer.

     2) Now also stereophonic samples can be played.

     3) If you wish, a mono sample can exit by both audio exits (L + R).

     4) Loading & using of samples in Fast Mem too.

     5) Samples greater than 131.070 bytes will be played without problems.

     6) In a loop sample the loop point is recognized.

     7) Using of loop sequences (As made with AudioMaster & others).

     8) It's possible to Save/Load the program configuration, i.e.: the
     main directory, a possible Save-the-list directory, the speed in
     period of the samples, the icon "Endless Loop" and the icon "Stereo
     Mode". The program configuration is saved in "s:".

     ======== * TO A1200 OWNERS  <-----  R E A D   T H I S!!! ===========

     Cause Commodore is always serching to make economy in his hardware,
     A1200 keyboard is a little different from the others of Amiga serie.
     In fact, A1200 keyboard cannot recognize the pression of 2 (or more)
     keys in the same line (on all others models, including A4000, this
     works fine). So, if you've got an A1200 the use of NASP will be
     limited by the pression of only a key at a time.
     This is an HARDWARE fault and not a NASP fault. Yo guyz, thak C= for
     this!!

     ====================================================================

      Instructions
     =============

      Let's start saying that you can load any IFF sample or sample lists.
     Sample lists are ASCII files wich define the path for each sample.

        To move between files and directories there is a huge file
     requester at the bottom of the screen. The short cuts for it are below
     and use the keypad :

         8 = Scroll up
         2 = Scroll down
         7 = Move to first name of list
         1 = Move to last name of list
         / = Parent
     Enter = Loads selected file or opens directory

     The key are patched for A600:

         K = Scroll up
         M = Scroll down
         , = Parent
         L = Load selected file or opens directory

       KEYBOARD COMMANDS
     ---------------------

     Right Amiga +   Q - Quit

     Right Amiga +   S - Saves List.

     Right Amiga + D - Deletes selected file.

     Right Amiga + E - Edit List name.

     Right Amiga + X - Press those keys when you are on the directory
                         you want to be the default directory.

     Right Amiga + Z - Stops the use of the default directory.

     Right Amiga + M - Switch between Mono & Stereo mode.

     Left Amiga + N - Goto Workbench or CLI.

     Left Amiga + M - Back to NASP.

                Esc - Suspends List loading or exits from any requester
                         as if answering NO.

                F1-F10 - They play their assigned samples. While loading,
                         they assign the sample to the pressed F-key.

                DEL - Deletes a sample, NOT FROM DISK, holding DEL and
                         pressing the corresponding F1-10 key.

                HELP - Resets sample speed to the original.

         Cursor Right - Accelerates sample period one time when pressed.
                         N.B. The period is the computer's unity to
                         measure the sample's speed. When the period
                         number it's greater, the speed is slower.

         Cursor Left - Decelerates sample ...( See above)

         Cursor Up - When pressed, it elevates the period to +4 and
                         restores previous speed when released.

         Cursor Down - Like above but period -4.

         Caps Lock - It activates the ENDLESS LOOP function wich is
                         available only if the sample is in loop mode. If
                         you play a sample in shot mode it will be played
                         togheter with the previous loop mode sample.
                         Anyway try it, 'coz it's easier to do than to
                         explain.

                Space  - AURAL BLACK-OUT !!!!

     Bugs & Limits of the Program.

     - Due to a little hardware limit, the max. sampling rate is fixed to
     28.185 khz (period 127).

     - There's a bug I found: it happens (not so often) that NASP doesn't
     recognize a pressing or releasing of a key: really disgusting !!! Hope
     to find out as soon as possible the origin of this mistake. S O R R Y
     ! ! !

       If you think that the program is something worth and you wish to
     encourage me in working on further improved versions than send me a
     couple of $, £ or , why not, some disks..

        Waiting for the new version I can only say

                        Live long and prosper

                               (Spock)
