'#STAR TREK 'THE MAD GENERATION 'The flashing button. The USS EnterPrise on a journey to explore new worlds new lifeforms to go where no man has ever gone before. Captain's Log StarDate 53461.5 I'm captain DMA, new commander of the USS Enterprise. It's been quit some time now since we had our last encounter with a strange lifeform. Nothing happened in the last few days. Well, cadet ASCII spilled a glass of coke over the control panel, so we where out of control for about 2 days but beside that nothing happened. But then we came in trouble. I was sitting on the bridge reading todays news paper. Actually I was reading the comics but that's a small detail. Suddenly a strange noise reached my ears. When I looked up I saw commander Gary pushing all kinds of buttons on his main8 control panel. To be honest with you, I don't know which buttons he pushed and I'm afraid he doesn't either. But the noise stopped and I went on reading. But after a few minutes the noise was back and this time it was very loud. I had to find out what this noise was. I asked commander Guru what it was. He turned to me and said:"I have no idea sir". I looked at Lt. Paula to ask her if she could see anything on here panel. But before I could ask her she said:"What are you looking at pervert". For a moment I was shocked. Well sometimes I look at here legs or her breasts, but this time I was looking at her face. "Any signs of an external lifeform", I asked her as I quickly turned my head. "Nope", was the answer she gave me. Commander Guru was still pushing all kinds of buttons. Meanwhile his head had became red and he sweat like he had ran a marathon (only the smell of his sweat makes you sick). "What is wrong commander", I asked. "I'm sorry sir but I can't find the right button to stop this noise, there are so many", he answered me. I had to calm him down but how? Well you don't become a captain just like that so I had an idea, "look it up in the manual it's in the glovecompartment", I said (smart move don't you think so). Just as the commander reached for the manual all the lights went out and the chip slowed down. We couldn't see a thing anymore. It was clear that commander Gary couldn't find the manual the smell of his sweat was telling me so. I had to do something. And again I had a smart idea, quickly I grabbed my zippo out of my pocket and started to make some light. Well the idea was perfect but my zippo was running out of fuel so it wouldn't burn. Damn now we where in real trouble although the noise had stopped. We all stopped breathing for a moment (not to long ofcourse) Then commander Guru yelled "Captain!, I know what is wrong". Ofcourse we where all anctious to know what he had found out. "We have ran out of fuel. The noise we heard was just an alarm signal". Again we all stopped breathing (this time ten seconds longer than the last). Was this the end of the USS Enterprise floating in the middle of nowhere without fuel, or could we just reach an subspace gasstation and would we find an electrician who can fix the lights 8܌ (it's pretty dark here you know)? We didn't knew at that time. Captain's Log StarDate 53461.7 We are still exploring new worlds, this time in search for a subspace gasstation. The usual questions: Will the USS Enterprise reach an subspace gasstation in time? Will the crew find an electrician? Will there be a next episode of this story? Where are the klingons? What happens with the shit if you flush the toilet? The usual answer(s): I don't know. Words from the writer: This story is pure fiction any simmularity with existing persons is totally impossible.
