        What?  A review of a music CD in the hallowed bytes of
    MegaDisc?  Well, yes, but this is a quick review so maybe I'll be
    forgiven...

        If you are a gamer who buys quality games, then the name Team
    17 will mean much to you.  They have produced the most polished
    games ever seen on ANY computer platform.  Their production values
    are very high, and the musician of Team 17, Allister Brimble, has
    released a CD of his work (after many requests, apparently).

        All of his songs are composed on an Amiga 500 running Music-X,
    and for this CD he's mostly dumped the output of his synthesizers
    to a DAT (Digital Audio Tape) then onto a CD.  If you, like me,
    have spent countless hours trying to rip the Project X title track
    off the disk, then try no more - here it is in all its digital
    glory!  (What?  You haven't?  You mean I'm the only one to have
    written a disk ripper that loads the entire floppy into RAM?  Oh
    dear...)

        There are 11 tracks on the disk, which goes for almost an
    hour.  The music itself is split along the lines of Jarre in his
    more sombre moments and Vangelis in his more dramatic moods, but
    definitely the work of the man behind all the Team 17 musics.  Me
    being a fan of the rave style music, the standout track is the
    Project X theme, but the cross of styles should suit almost all.

        The inlay lists the synths used by Allister, and if this guy
    isn't rich, he must be broke!  There's around $40,000 of gear
    listed!

        Aside from the Project X theme, there's also the music from
    Assassin, Full Contact, the "Old Timer" music from Project X, and
    7 other original tracks.  Also, another CD is in production
    (hopefully, this one will have the Alien Breed track).

        Highly recommended for lovers of synthesiser music.
