What is LibSuck?

LibSuck is a small tool which may be used to examine both library AND
device jumptables. When there are jumps in the tables which not jump
into ROM (patches etc) the user may take better look to the part of
the memory where is jumped to.
LibSuck is a piece of code which needs a kickstart V37 or higher and
AmigaGuide.library. If LibSuck erturns the prompt without doing a
thing, you failed and the code does not want to be a part of your
computer since your computer could be part of you... \;-)
By the way: *ALWAYS* start LibSuck from Shell or CLI...


Why use it?

One thing should be cleared: this tool is for only for professionals!
Don't try this at home!;-) You may use it to look for virusses when
your system acts strange. You may look if your homemade patches are
really removed.



How does it work.

Just type in "LibSuck" and the shit will happen. LibSuck will need
some time to fill a file, so don't reset immediately after the start,
give it another second. On the other hand, when you waited for about
two and a half week, it is pretty save to say that it hangs.. @:+)
I am a very lazy coder. So I dump all the shit LibSuck detects in the
file "RAM:LibSuck.tmp". Then I use AmigaGuide to show the contents of
the file to the user.
Now the smart part: *:-D
When the user presses a (amigaguide)button belonging to a non-ROM jump,
AmigaGuide will start LibSuck again with certain arguments which will
make libsuck to act like a small monitor displaying the memory belonging
to the non-ROM jump...



What are the warnings?

I perform *NO* checks or whatsoever on the addresses shown. LibSuck is
very capable of handling non-existant addresses... It just tries to
show them which (offcourse) causes Enforcerhits (only when Enforcer
is running, curly... |:^} ).
When LibSuck is used on a normal system whith no illigal shit in it's
device or library listst there will be no illigal addresses and no
enforcer hits.



How do i use the "certain arguments".

It's better you NOT. But if you want to: LibSuck address=<address>
should open de LibSuck MiniMonitor allowing you to see a little of
the memory around <address>.
Since this option is not really ment fur human usage the address is
not in hex but in decimals...*;-)



Some stupid shit to tell?

Yes. Use it at your own risk. LibSuck is cardware which means that
you may send me a postcard when you use it or like it, or both use
AND like it (not likely?..)
