NORDIC POWER - The first powerful AMIGA Cartridge
=============================================================================

Finally there is a cartridge which can be very handy if you work a lot
with the Amiga. This cartridge is developed by Data & Electronics (FRG).

We at UGA received a A-1000 version (A500 version is available and
A2000 will follow soon) and we did a complete test.

 What can it do:

 - A freeze option : You are playing a game and you want to continue the
next day and there isn't a save option: just press the freeze button
and save the whole memory (512K or 1MB) on disk and just reload it
some other time and start at the same point.
This file can only be executed with the original cartridge.

 - Rip pictures from the screen. This option gives you the possibility
to save a picture which was on the screen when you pressed the
button to disk. A complete tool in included to find the picture+
colors in memory. You can change Hi-res/Lo-res/Ham mode, modulo,
number of bitplanes and lots more to get the original picture back.
Also there is an option to make a hardcopy on a Epson (9N) printer.

 - Scanning your memory for soundsamples and when you find them you
can zoom in and just cut the part you want to save. The sample
   will be saved in IFF-format.

 - Extra diskcommands like dir, subdir, path, diskcopy and diskformat.

 - A very simple monitor: we hope there will be more functions added
in the near future to give programmers a useful tool to work with.

 > The salesprice is $110 (Us dollars) and updates of the software
   will follow in the future.

I have worked with the cartridge for 2 weeks and I think this piece
of hardware is worth its money for people who like to concentrate
on working with graphics and music or programming.

We couldn't find a program which couldn't be stopped with the freeze
button so many software protections will just be useless in the
 future.
