START: PUT DISK #1 in drive DF0: and boot your computer or install it 
------ on your hard-disk. HD INSTALLATION IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR
       SMOOTHER PLAYABILITY.
       Then put disk 2 in drive DF1: (If you have one !) or wait until
       the computer ask for the 2nd disk.
 *NOTE*Even if the game is NTSC & PAL Compatible , I suggest you boot
       the game in PAL.


GAME TYPE : Fighter Duel is a Flight Simulator with World War II planes.
----------- Players have choice between the american F4U CORSAIR or the
            german A6M ZERO airplane. The objective of the game is to
            crash down the other plane on a one-to-one dogfight with
            the computer or another player with null-modem.

PLAYERS : 1 or 2. You can play alone versus the computer or have a friend
--------- joining in for more fun via modem (Null,1200 or 2400).


MENU :  To access the main menu , click on the right mouse button.

        PLAYERMODE : Choose between 1 or 2 players

        PLAYER OPTION : * MODEM TYPE - Choose between NULL,1200 or 2400
                                       modem when 2 players are competing

                        * LOCALE - Choose between ARCHS,TOWERS or ISLES
                                   when 2 players are competing.

                        * START - Choose between NORTH and SOUTH to tell
                                  the computer when do you wanna start
                                  on the map when 2 players are competing.

                        * MISSION - Choose between TRAINING and COMBAT
                                    as difficulty level and start the
                                    game

        AIRCRAFT : * FRIEND - Choose between F4U CORSAIR or A6M ZERO
                              or both to be friendly

                   * FOE - Choose between F4U CORSAIR or A6M ZERO or
                           both to be the enemy

        CONFIG : * COLORS - Change colors for the GAUGE,TARGET,SEA,
                            PANEL,ARCH,TOWERS & DECK simply by clicking
                            on them. You have 4 choice of color each.

                 * SAVE - To save new config on disk

                 * DEFAULT - To load the default setting of DUEL FIGHTER

                 * JOYSTICK - To use an analog joystick instead of a mouse

BEGIN FLIGHT ICON : Click it to start the game

IN-GAME MENU : To use the in-game menu , just click both mouse button at the
-------------- same time

        Resume Training : To go back to training

        Resume Combat : To go back to combat

        Center Stick : To calibrate your analog joystick

        Reset : To reset the game and start a new one

CONTROL : Mouse or Analog Joystick (MOUSE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!)

          Note: To get the in-game menu with a joystick , you need
                a twinfire joystick and you press the 2 fire buttons
                simultaneously.

VIEW : To get the view like if you were really piloting the plane , you
------ hold down the right mouse button and move the mouse around where
       you want to look. Just remember that it is only a VIEW mode and
       that you do not control the plane this way.

TO TAKE OFF: Gently roll your mouse upward to speed up the plane.
------------ Right after you left the boat give another genlty roll
             on your mouse to gain cruise speed.Giving Backward or
             Heavy upward roll of your mouse will slow down your plane.

                    Slow Down (Beware Not To Crash!)

The rest needs no explanation for you just have to try to blow up your
opponent in the sky.

Game Rating : 5/10
Rating Explanation : Even with neat graphic , the game is very boring.
                     The plane is hard to control and it's very easy
                     to crash. Also you won't learn the game in only
                     one try. I recommend MiG-29 Fulcrum or FLiGHT of
                     The Intruder Better.
