¼³COMMENTS FROM THE³¼ ¼³AWARDED GROUPS³¼ ¹ In this article you will be able to read some comments from persons of the awarded groups from the article before this. The first guys to comment their award are Hydra and Lord Interface of Andromeda, whom we decided to award as best group in 1992. ³Congratulations ! You have won the Top Secret Award as Best Group of the year. Do you have any comments ?¹ ²Andromeda, is that us? Hmmm, guess it is. There is really nothing to be said apart from thanks for showing us this great honour.¹ «int» ³What do you think about the passed year for your group and the scene in general ?¹ ²1992 has no doubt been Andromeda's strongest year. Yet we would dare to state that it has only been an "introduction", since we will be even more active in 1993. When it comes to the Scene there are several things to be mentioned, both good and bad. On the positive side we would point out the general increase of quality productions. And furthermore all the parties which have been arranged, giving you excellent opportunities to meet people you only know through letters. Talking about the oposite, we would point out the bad organization of certain parties. And let's not forget all the lies which have been spread either. (But, that is not exceptional for 1992.)¹ ³What can we expect from Andromeda in 1993 ?¹ ²Mindriot, Dr. Jekyll's new one-file demo, has, as you know, already been released. Furthermore these productions can be expected in the future: A trackmo called Q.E.D with code by HeadX, graphics by Quest and Fairfax, raytracing by The Main, and music by HeadX and Mr. Man. A trackmo by Blazer (code), Duel (gfx), and Lord Interface (music). Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are also developing a new trackmo. A slideshow by Fairfax will also be released, but it's not determined yet who will do the code and music. All of these productions are expected to be released before the end of the summer. We have currently no further plans for the rest of the year.¹ ³Anything to add ?¹ ²There are actually a couple of things which ought to be mentioned, and here are the most important ones: Due to the fact that Monzo hasn't done anything for Andromeda after he joined one and half year ago, he felt that it was better to leave instead of still being inactive. But he will rejoin when he gets the time and inspiration to code something again. By the way, type "julekake" in Mirror's main-menu and see what happens. One version of Mindriot, which didn't work on the A500+, got spread by some of our swappers before we were aware of this bug. (Lame interrupt-code in the original replay-routine.) So all A500+ owners should write to their respective Andromeda-dealers for a new version. Answers written on behalf of Andromeda by Hydra and Lord Interface.¹ After these words from the Andromeda team, it's time to reach Spaceballs for a few comments to their award as 'Newcomer Of The Year'. ³Congratulations ! You have won the Top Secret Award as Best Newcomer Group of the year. Do you have any comments ?¹ ²Newcomer, we.....Geee! We would like to thank our families, my dog, my ..... OK, We'll try to be serious for once. A serious thanx to all groups out there in the Scene for giving us inspiration to our productions. Don't we get any prizes, like a trip to Bermuda or something?? Cheap, Cheap!!!¹ ³What do you think about the passed year for your group and the scene in general ?¹ ²1992 has been a successful year in our opinion. Spaceballs has developed from being a small group, consisting of friends in the 'hood' , to a bigger and more competative group. The stones began to roll when we made the intro for RAW issue 2. Then we won the demo-competition at the Gathering '92 and now the balls (ha!) was rolling rapidly. After this demo we sat down, doing nothing for a short while. We knew that we had to be pretty innovative to have a chance to survive among the elite in the scene so we created State Of The Art. The demo was put together in quite a hurry (as usual) so the demo didn't work on all machines. Sorry! We were just going to release a new version, but Skid Row proved yet again to be the fastest (NOT!) Must be funny to crack demos, eh?? Thanx anyway, you saved us a couple of minutes. (Lone Starr interrupts! The trackloader routine was not written by me! It was a lame one I found on a 3-year old disk! I know I should have coded one myself, but I had NO time!! I had to deliver it for the competition.) Now we would like to mention some views on the so-called scene. The releases being out now are very professional and we think that's nice, but why must almost all groups take themselves so god damned serious? Look at our name, we think it speaks for itself. The Scene is a hobby for us, not a job. Ofcourse The scene can open alot of other opportunities, like getting a job at software producers etc. and that's very positive.¹ ³What can we expect from Spaceballs in 1993 ?¹ ²Well, First of all we'll try to finish our musicdisk/slideshow. It will be coded by MCM, our german coder. Some various intros and other small productions will be released aswell. The main production in '93 will be a trackmo which will hopefully be released during the summer. Maybe a big release at christmas too.....Who knows??¹ ³Anything to add ?¹ ²We just want to say thanx for this title and as all decent chip-brains we must give some regards to some folks. Hi Andromeda ! How's it hangin'? Mirror and Mindriot are great! Keep up the good work! Leve Norge! Hurra, Hurra! Giraff! Giraff! Giraff! Giraff! J U L E K A K E ! Phenomena, hej era knasbollar (JAS och MTX), var faan var ni i julen. Foer mycket kottbullar?? Vi skulle release amigareset 'The Final Version' men nehej, inga knasbollar dar inte! Det faar bli en annan gang! We just have to mention that these questions was answered(?) on behalf of he entire group by Sator and Yoghurt of Spaceballs. Thanx once again you guys out there!!¹ Wise words from Spaceballs or what do you think. The next and last guest is a 'thing' from Melon Dezign. Here we go... ³Congratulations ! You have been awarded as second best group of Year. Do you have any comments ?¹ ²Why Andromeda ????????¹ ³What do you think about the passed year for your group ?¹ ²It's been a excellent year for us and it's just a shame that it went so fast.¹ ³What can we expect from Melon Dezign in 1993 ?¹ ²Well, we will soon release the first of three games that we are doing and a demo should also be out very soon. Furthermore we will begin to make production for A1200/A4000, but also still for A500 and the rest. About our style, I can just say that we will continue on the same track as so far.¹ ³Anything to add ?¹ ²Yep, I just want to say that: Audiomonster is good in making music. Performer is an Action Replay ripper. Paleface has syphilis and Slammer is a girl. The answers was given over the phone by a thing in Melon Dezign.¹ Thanx to Melon Dezign for showing good behaviour, though they might not like being second....We didn't get any answers from Anarchy, probably because they are dead. ³TFG/MAJIC 12
