³¼PARTY IN POLAND¼³ ¹ I (Kopara) received a party-invitation two weeks before day 'P'. By it, it looked pretty nice, organizers secured many important things, including HST modems, local TV station and much more (I don't mention about identificators, big-screen and the others...). So I sent a filled invitation and we started to prepare to a trip. We started with buying two harddisks every 40% (called Polish Vodka) and many disks. The day before we appointed an hour at the railway station. Next day with a knapsack, also with half hour delay we met at the station. We bought the tickets (ohhh yes, it was necessary!) and found the train. However it was full, we asked (read: kicked out) two women from the compartment. The train moved on and the show began. We started with copying two harddisks, so somebody got GURU. The other one generated real-rgb fractal. Very fast - U know! After a few hours we arrived to Warsaw - place of the party. It's the capital of Poland, so it's rather a big city (about one million citizens). But the party place was near the railway station so we got there in few minutes on foot. The place was in a big school, many people had already arrived. At the reception I met SKORPIK/PSL who made a cool music for our demostration, also many other known faces - some as always dead drunk. We had to pay an entrance fee so we did. After an hour we found free room so with INVESTATION, we (MAD ELKS) occupied it. Now it was getting forward to a long night during we were finishing our production. We slept three hours, but it was enough. Somebody asked: 'aren't U hungry? Yes, we we're!' So we went to find some fast food. MC Donald - thats it! We bought about 15 Big Macs, Cheeseburgers, Cokes and others. After puttin' it into our stomachs we got back to party place, by the way visiting local software-market. It's full of lamers, someone told us that new Imagine 2.2 needs 7 Mb to start! What a pity I've got 2,5 Mb and it works quite good ehh?! No care, scene needs some lamers, bcoz we wouldn't have anybody to laugh at! When we got back to the party place, some crazy-compos had just finished, so we missed them. Musican tried to create some crazy tunes from well known Polish film. A few hours later gfx and music competitions were to start. So took our part in it. But there was lots of scans and rips especially from slideshow from Kefrens with great job by R.W.O. called Masterpieces. Modules weren't superb. There were only 15 (about) modules, bcoz there was elimination before! In the end of day, before midnight there was most important competition. You know it! 10 productions it's very much right here in Poland. Here comes results: 1st................Software by W.F.M.H. 2nd............... Fugazzi by OLD BULLS 3rd....... Alternate Reality by SUSPECT 4th..... Huntin' for Red Kret by FLYING COWS INC. 5th...... Weekend Dance DEFORM (3disks) 6th..............Status Quo by MAD ELKS 7th..........Hit the Sky by INVESTATION Rest I 've forgot, just like some titles - sorry. Also new crew (!?) called BARBIE FUCKERS appeared but their production was out of competition, it moved only laugh - it was their intention. After competition in the middle of the night most of us were watching porno-film on the big-screen. Have you ever seen it, eh!? Later it came time for some after -competition talks between all groups which took their parts in it. Some of them were only fuckin' rest bcoz of lame routines and others shits. Is it necessary dudes?! About three hours past midnight we took our places in ours sleeping-bags and had a few hours of fair-rest. After we got up we've found we're one of the last, who decided to stay there. Results of competitions were annouced (though they were expected at midday). We found our 6th position not so satisfied, but who cares! After half an hour we decided to catch the train that would be leaving station in few minutes. How we did it - I don't know (I suppose - fair wind, eh!). With Flying Cows we returned home (on the way we got some sleep - we needed it!). In the end we reached our homes very tired... So, here comes time for little recapitulation of our trip. Party could be better organized - with no doubt! In conclusion then, it was average. However, almost noone knows, main organizer MR.ROOT had to run a losing business (first prize), bcoz many people didn't pay entrance-fee! I hope I've came near you Polish scene. You can read about it in other article by my friend BACKFIRE, who's the longer practice right here. Kopara of MAD ELKS P.S.
