³Reaction for the Jordan articles² --------------------------------¹ About two articles in Top Secret #8 "Life in Jordan" and "The hiden secrets of desert storm" I was surprised and delighted to see people from Jordan writing an article in an Amiga scene mag. It was the first time as far as I know that someone from the Arab near east did this. Unfortunately if this is the kind of articles that we are to except from this part of the scene then they better keep their silence. It is hard to find an article that contains more lies then "The hidden secrets of desert strom". But first things first: "Life in Jordan" sounds just like living in paradise: nice warm weather, mercedes driving, eating out at pizza hut, luxury hotels and why bother speaking arab? 50 percent of the people speak french and 95 percent even speak english! And that sounds so much more civilized! Actually "more civilized than Europe"! Well Mr/Mrs Eagle/Byte Busters, you really must have a complex: Did you really think we thought about Jordanians as poor, uneducated bunch of primitives living in tents? Do you really want to tell us that there is no poverty in your country? Or is it that you just can't see it throu the shaded windows of your luxury mercedes? Do you really want us to believe that 98% of the jordanian people are "well educated with high-degrees"? Hey, after you wake up from dreaming ask your local postman, maid, street worker, baker or anyone else what kind of degree He/She has and for you own sake ask them to tell you something about L I F E I N J O R D A N... The second article about operation desert strom is written by Phantom/Kaos. Now what can bring someone to write such one-eyed views on something? Is it pure hate, maybe? This article proves that the line maintained in the first one that 98 percent of jordanians are well educated is wrong. It seems that Mr Phatom/Kaos has never paid to much attention in history class. It could of course be that it is not even his fault, it could well be the students in Jordan are teached just one side of the medal. Don't forget: Jordan is not a democracy. It's a kingdom with a very wise king, very wise for his own people!! Eh eh, unfortunately this does not include the majority of the jordanians, I mean to say the palestinians. Things are not as simple as Mr Phantom/Kaos puts it: Isreal is bad and is responsible for all the problems in the middle east! It would be a waste of my time and of all the readers to go throu your article word for word as it is so openly wrong that even we undercivilized europeans understand the tendency. You arabs should never forget one thing: Europeans and americans have been suffering from two things related to you for 40 years now: 1. On one hand your yawning about not having any rights and how poor you are! 2. On the other side 40 years of arab terror bringing only death and disaster into our families. Something positive would be nice for a change! The first thing positive is that own Amigas!! Frindship rulez! Even when different opinions as the above clash together! Never forget that, you all! ³¼Mike/BCI¼
