2 NOCTURNUS: THRESHOLDS ----------------------- Yoppiedooo.. Here's ARON/SUBMISSION testing a CD from Nocturnus, it's one of my favourites right now, so I decided to test it. I don't have any info about the band, cause there were no stuff like that with this CD. But anyway let's go on.. The CD begins with an intro as most of the band has, this intro is a bit different to other groups, he calls the different Weather Daemons and you can here a clock and the wind in the background, he's calling some different dudes around, really kewl vocal, fuckin' necro daemonic voice.. This is just the Opening part for the track 'CLIMATE CONTROLLER'.. Then we go on with the next part of track 1, the CLIMATE CONTROLLER, THE WEATHER DOMINATOR, it starts straight after the intro with a superb agressive hammering splatt wrench sound - attacking your bleeding ears, effects streaming in your ears, FUCK!! This is really hard to understand, the track has slow and fast parts, the chorus goes like FUSION OF THE ANCIENT WAYS WITH MODERN TECH SUPPORT BRINGING ATMOSPHERIC CHANGE MASTER- OF-CLIMATE-CONTROLLER..etc.etc. He's growling this really kewl, how to describe this track ?? If some one has this CD, pleaase write a description for this track, it has EVERYTHING !! 2 TRIBAL VODOUN is the next one coming.. Sounds like jazz in the beginning, they play soft, and goes on for awhile, this track sounds more like a mix up with Thrash and Doom, but after awhile this stop totally and the singer goes motherfuckin' crazy, he cry for LEGBA, Fast mixed with Soft and hard growling noice, not THAT good track but still really great.. Next one is an instrumental, and is called NOCTURNE IN B m. It must be one of the best instrumentals I've heard, this one is not agressive at all, it reminds me about xmas when the snow is falling, I think the noice sounds like snow or something like that, nice!, even girls should like this one.. Nothing more to say, a real smash hit.. The fourth track that is coming up is called, ARCTIC CRYPT, It begins by a solo with Davis, and goes on with a crunchy bass sound, with a mix up with light solos. The lyrics are really great, the chorus is even better he sounds sad in someway, after the second solo and some text a solo with Davis comes up which is really great, begins light and destinate agressive. Kewl track that everyones like.. The last part of it is somekind of kill the christs and all that's holy, really great effects they've on their equipment.. 2 AQUATICA is coming up, as the name says it has something to do with water, and so it is, the intro for this sounds with water sound, and then like a space ship is landing. When they're playing it sounds like the bubbles are going up in the water longer and longer up and away, also somekind of orchestric style in this one, but I don't think it's that good, it's only some parts of it that satisfies me, the rest is medium.. Track 6 is one of the best I think, it's called SUBTERRANEAN INFILTRATOR, it begins with somekind of Space War with laser beams flying around your head, really weird and kewl. Instrumental and effectful stuff goes on for about 1:20 and then he starts to sing, nothing special here but when he comes to the jingle it reallly makes my ass freeze, if you hear this track you'll love it as satan himself.. Next one popping up is, ALTER REALITY. Starts agressive with growling noice and hammering metal sound. Fast vocals and music, really eats through your brain. Nice track, not much to say.. GRIDZONE is the last one on this CD.. I think this one is one of the ugliest on the whole CD, ok, ok the chorus is nice but the rest is not good.. I won't say anymore about this one. 2 Well, let's take a look on the cover for this one. On the mainside we see a Space ship, with infiltrators (I guess) and tellus that they're going to attack, I don't know I'm only guessing, and in the left corner the Nocturnus logo, not much to say.. Inside we find the Lyrics (that are really kewl).. And live photos of Nocturnus that are quite kewl, but they could have made something better I think. Back side of the paper we find a group photo with Nocturnus. And finally the backside, here are the names of the tracks standing, and somekind of weird machines or is it a docking bridge or just something like that, don't ask me, I haven't understood yet.. Ok, that's all for now. Finally I think everyone should buy this album because it's perfect from beginning to the end (if we not mention a few things..) But it's well worth the money.. Buy it !! I only have this CD from Nocturnus so I can't tell you if this one is better than other stuff from them...
