Knock  Knock!   Oh!  Hi, sorry if I'm late...  I'll just get myself a seat and
then  we  can  begin.  Ok!  Here we are, sitting around the Round Table.  What
shall  we talk about today?.  First a few words to the Main editor, Wild Rage.
I  think  that  you  and the other guys involved in making this mag has done a
great  job.  There is no such thing as Phantasy.  The idea of making a section
where  you could publish all kinds of articles was really cool.  And now a few
words to Merlyn of The Magic Guild.  Hi!  I really enjoy your stories and it's
guys  like  you  who makes this mag possible.  Your article about Terry Brooks
was also cool.  Next time I will send an article about one of the best authors
of  horror  stories,  Edgar  Allan  Poe.   But  this time you can read a quite
strange  story  called Caught in phantasy (if it's included ofcourse).  My own
opinion  about  this mag could be expressed with one word.  GREEAAAT!!!!!!!!!!
And  i  hope  that more guys will start to support Scene Lyrics in the future.
Well  this  time  I have only sent a few things. But a story called 'The Black
Circle' is on it's way (The story is based on the murder of Olof Palme in 1986
here in sweden).

I'll guess I'm off now.....

Well,  it's long time ago since I got your letter and I hope you still want to
support  our  mag!   Would  be  great if we could read your "The Black Circle"
someday.
Oh  yes,  and  my  own opinion about your letter and your articles can also be
expressed in one word :  GREEAAAT!!!!!!!!!!

Dear WILD RAGE!

As  a reaction to what you wrote about my article in last issue, I have to say
the following things:

You  said that Germans dont care about us Austrians, because we live in such a
small  country,  but  I think that´s not quite correct!  There are really many
Germans  who make holidays here, so they have to care about us at least a bit.
And  just look at all those fucking Austrian "Homeland"- and Hans Moser- films
shown on the German private broadcasting stations!  They also give impressions
about  Austria  to  them  (or at least these films show them "how Austria is",
although it isn´t like this at all.)!

You said that we Austrians don´t do anything against all those stupid cliches,
but  the  fact  is  that we simply can´t!  It´s the tourism that even supports
them.   Tourism  rules  Austria, although one doesn´t notice that at the first
sight.   Tourism says, when we pupils should have holidays.  And take a closer
look  at  our stamps or at a simple postcard:  "Austria is beautiful, come and
stay",  "Austria  - your holiday-destination", and things like that are always
there.   And  what  can  a  normal  Austrian  do  against such a mighty power?
Nothing!  As long as there´s tourism in Austria, there´s cliches.  And tourism
is the main income source of Austria.

So: No cliches, no tourism. No tourism, no Austria. That´s a vicious circle.

Well,  first  of  all I think we should explain to all the millions of readers
what  COON-O  is  talking  about...   In the last issue of SCENE LYRICS he has
written  a very interresting article for the MIXED EMOTIONS-column called "The
Typical  Austrian".  And, as always in my role as Main-Editor, I couldn't stop
writing  my  opinion  about it at the end of the article.  If you want to know
more  about it...  try to get S.L. III... or read "The Typical Austrian,  Part
II" in this issue.

Well,  COON-O...   what  should  I  say?  You're right, in every word that you
wrote.   But  let's be honest :  Who really cares about the 'typical' image of
an  Austrian?   For me it's not very important what someone in, e.g.  the USA,
thinks  about  my  country.   Let them have fun with their picture of us!  And
hey, don't WE have the same cliches about other countries?  Be honest!

Letztens  kam im Fernsehen ein Interview mit Todeszellen Insassen aus Russland
(glaub  ich...koennte  auch  ein  anderer GUS Staat gewesen sein.) Die Maenner
erzaehlten  davon,  wie  man  sich  an den Tod gewoehnt :  "....und wenn es zu
schlimm wird , schreibt man Gedichte , das hilft...."

Ich  musste  dabei  an Scene Lyrics denken und die Moeglichkeit, die durch das
mag  gegeben wird, die Gedichte, die man selbst Geschrieben hat mit anderen zu
teilen.   S.L.   ist irgendwo auch ein kleiner Teil von jedem geworden der die
Geschichten  und Gedichte gelesen hat.  Und jede Geschichte oder Gedicht damit
auch.  Und mit diesen auch etwas von dem der/der sie geschrieben hat.  Nur ein
winzig kleiner Teil.  Aber irgendwo ist der Gedanke doch schoen, nicht wahr ?

Unter  all  den  verschieden Wegen auf der Suche nach Anerkennung durch andere
haben  wir  in  dem  Bereich  in  dem  wir  uns bewegen, vielleicht den besten
gewaehlt.  Oder so, ja.

Ach  ja,  die  Todeszellen  Insassen...  bin da etwas abgeschweift...  aeh was
wollte ich noch sagen....  egal.  Wollte das nur erwaehnt haben.

Hallo  Senseless '61.  Danke fuer die netten Worte, regt vielleicht ein bisschen
zum  Denken  an.  Ach ja, deine Gedichte und Kurzgeschichten sind ja wiedermal
ein  kleiner  Hoehepunkt  in  dieser  Ausgage!   Danke  fuer deinen Support, und
nochmals  SORRY  (zum  3.  mal in dieser Ausgabe, so weit ich mich erinnere...
hehe)  wegen  meiner  Lame-heit.   Ich  wollte dir ja zurueckschreiben, nur die
ganze  Zivildienst-Scheisse  usw.   haben  mir  nicht  zu  viel  Zeit gelassen.
Vielleicht wird es ja in Zukunft was?…
