X# 1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT!!! This document is not supposed to me a complete course in hypnosis. It is only meant to be a short look-in, a brief explanation of what hypmosis is. If you want to learn real hypnosis, please buy/loan some books about the subject. The author of this document is not responsible of any abuse of this document. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2LHypnosisÿ 21.0 What is it ??? 0 Science has proved that the human brain`s two halves, has different functions. While the left part takes care of logic, language etc. , the right one takes care of more of the estetical things, like emotions, feelings etc. In most cases, the left part of the brain is dominating the right part, the only exceptioms is left handed people, which is caused by a left-part-dominating brain. The two parts of the brain is bound together by a formation called Corpus Calossum. In cases where Corpus Calossum is cut over,( this happens in difficult cases of Epilepsy, where Corpus Calussum is cut over,) it often results in lack/loss of skills like coordinating facts and feelings. What happens in hypnosis is that the right part of the brain gets dominating over the left part, as long as the hypnosis lasts. This is done by almost shutting the left part totally off. One can in that way get direct access to the subconsciousness, something that can be very antvantageous. Some sects, like New Age, looks at hypnosis as a way of getting in touch with the spirits, but this is denied by the more serious scientists. 22.0 TALKING. 0 Hypnosis is not magic or brainwash, as someone thinks. The important in hypnosis is not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. The words themselves has no magic meaning. Therefore I will, before I start explaining how to do hypnosis in practical, explain how to talk while doing hypnosis. 22.1 VOICE-LEVEL. 0 The voice-level must be as monoton as possible, not too loud, and not too low. The hypnotisor must talk slowly and without any sudden changes in tone or woicelevel. 22.2 WORDS 0 It is important, while performing hypmosis, that you don`t use too many words. The word-center in the brain must be as little active as possible, since this is located in the left part of the brain. Use words that sound very much the same, easy words, don`t use advanced language, use small but powerful sentences. It is important to repeat the sentences often. Take some time between repeating a sentence. It often helps by using the patients name in stead of " you/ me ". This sharpens the patient`s attention and concentrates the language-center around the hypnotist. 22.3 BUILDING A HYPNOSE-SEQUENCE. 0A hypnose-sequence has often some special `parts`. Those are: 1. Relaxing-part. 2. Motivation/persuation. 3. Action explanation/preparation. 4. Action performance 5. Ending the action. 22.31 Relaxing-sequence 0During the relaxing-sequence it`s important to make the patient feel relaxed, and possible make the patient sink deeper into hypnosis. Sentences as: `You are in a deep, deep sleep.` , ` You feel very, very relaxed` , and ` The more I speak, the deeper you sleep` , is very usual in this part of the sequence. 22.32 Motivation / persuasion 0In this part it`s important to `motivate` the patient to carry out the action. The motivation is carried out by repeating that the following action is something positive for the patient, necessary or simply that the patient is supposed to do as the hypnotist tells him/her to. The last alternative is the most effective. Motivation is necesary if the patient is to be hypnotised to do some boring work( homework ??? ), and has to be persuaded to think that it really IS fun. ( The patient will then get the feeling that this in fact IS `fun`.) 22.33 Action preparation. 0During the preparation one has to explain the patient very detailed and very thoroughly what to do. It is of no use to ask the patient: ` What is your name`, when you have not explained the patient to open his mouth and talk for real instead of his imagination. Remember that the patient is no condition to take any logical solution, in fact he is incapable of taking any solution of his own, and will therefore do as he`s told to. 22.34 Action performance 0When the action is performed, it`s (again) important to have total control of what the patient is doing. somethimes the action is not performed until the patient has awakened, and it`s therefore very important to know what you have instructed the patient to do. Some sequences lack point 2.33, and contains only 2.34, the action itself. This is mostly used when one shall perform relaxing-training. It is of no use to tell the patient how to relax, just tell him to do it. 22.35 Ending the action. 0The action is usually ended by a summary and/or a relaxing-part. All unwanted that is `left` after the action must now be removed. If one has made the patients arm unfeelable ( say, in front of an operation ), you have to give the patient back his feeling in his arm. Otherwise, the patient will wake up, with his arm paralyzed, or you will find it hard to wake the patient up from the hypnosis. 23.0 The danger of hypnosis. 0Hypnosis is, if correctly performed, totally harmless. The hypnotist must, in addition of being evil, be very good not to make any harm to his patient. Hypnosis may be used to force a person to answer questions asked by his hypnotist. The patient will then, if told to, not be able to lie. But if it goes against the patients inner belief, he will not answer the question or lie. The biggest danger in hypnosis is the awakening. If it is not perormed, and the patient is left to his own, it wil take a lot of time before the patient wakes up. Meanwhile he will be in a world of his own. And, also, if the awakening-process is not performed correctly, the patientwill wake up with a sevear hang-over, chill, or other unwanted feelings when exiting the warm dream-world of hypnose. 24.0 Practical hypnosis. 24.1 Time and place. 0The hypnosis should be performed in a room with possibilities to shut of/tone down the light, it should have a pleasant temperature. The most important thing is that there shold be as few people in the room as possible so that the noise is kept to a minimum. The sound of a door opening can often be enough to destroy the light trance the patient is first set to. The patient should sit, or better lie on a couch. Even though hypnosis may look as a sleep, it is important that the patient does not change his emotion from trance to sleep. This may happen when the patient is already tired when comitting the hypnosis, so that he misunderstand the word `sleep`. 24.2 Waking the patient up. 0Before one starts experimenting with hypnosis, it`s important to know how to awake the patient. that`s why this sequence is explained first. Awakening can be performed in these ways: 1. The hypnotist shouts with all his power: ` Wake up ! `. 2. The hypnotist shakes the patient awake. 3. Through a sequence. The last one is definately the best way. The easiest, and most used is: ` You`re sleeping in a very deep, deep sleep,< name > but soon, soon you`re going to awake. Yes, < name> you`re in a very, very deep sleep < name >, but soon you`re going to awake. I`ll now count from ten to one,< name> yes I`m now going to count from ten to one . And for each number I say , your sleep will be lighter and lighter. Yes, for each number I say, your going to sleep lighter and lighter. And when I say the number one, you`re going to wake up, and you will not be tired. And you wil feel O.K, yes, you will feel O.K. 10 -You`re already sleeping lighter, and you will wake up all rested and feeling O.K. 9 - Lighter and lighter. 8 - You are sleeping incredibly light, and you will soon wake up. 7 - Lighter and lighter. 6 - You are sleeping lighter and lighter, and you will soon wake up. 5 - Lighter and lighter, and when I say the number `one` you will wake up and be awaken. 4 - You sleep extremely light, and when you wake up, you`ll feel all rested and you`ll feel O.K. 3 - You are soon awake, and when I say the number `one` you will wake up. 2 - your sleep is almost over, you are almost awaken. 1 - Wake up!! 24.3 The phases in hypnosis. 0A trance should have the following phases: 21. Beginning 2. Relaxing. 3. Making the hypnosis deep. 4. Action(s). 5. awakening. 0Point 1,2,3 is essential in each try in hypnosis, especially point 2, since it`s here the hypnosis itself is beeing done. 24.3. The beginning. 0The patient should have a steady point to look at, the point should be in reach of the eye, so that the patient don`t need to consentrte to look at it. When the patient relaxes totally, the hypnosis can start. ` Your eyes feels heavy, extremely heavy .Yes, your eyes feels very, very heavy, and when you close your eyes, you will fall into a deep. deep sleep, .` 24.32 The relaxing. This process repeats until the patient closes his eyes. 0Then can one start with next part, the hypnosis itself. ` Your left leg feels very, very relaxed, . Yes, your left leg feels very, very relaxed . The more I speak, the more relaxed will your left leg become, . Yes, the more I speak, the more relaxed will your left leg become. And your left leg is now heavy, warm, and totally relaxed. Yes,your left leg is now very heavy, it`s warm, and it`s relaxed. The only thing you want is to relax and sleep,. Yes, the only thing uoy want, is to realx and sleep. You`re about to fall into a deep, deep sleep,. And now your right leg is getting relaxed and warm, and heavy......` Keep on with this on the patients legs, knees, hips; left foot, ankel, knee, hip, stomach, chest (Don`t try to make him stop breathing!!!!! DANGER!!!), arms hands back, neck, throat, and face. 24.33 Making the hypnosis deep. 0After the patient has gone through the relaxing-phase, he`ll already be in a light hypnosis. Byt before any action can be performed, the hypnosis must be as deep as possible. This is usually done by telling the patient that for number one is saying, the hypnosis will go deeper and deeper. An example: ` You`re in a deep, deep sleep,.Yes, you`re in a deep, deep sleep. Now I`ll count from one to ten, and for each count you will sleep deeper and deeper. 1 - Deeper and deeper. One minute break to make the hypnosis deep. 2 - You sleep extremely deep for each number I count. One minute break. 3 - And you sleep deeper and deeper. One minute break. 4 - And you sleep extremely deeper for each number I count. One minute break. 5 - You`re now in a deep deep, extremely deep sleep, and for each number I count, you`ll sleep deeper and deeper. ( Here, Take a five minutes break, total silence, to ensure that the hypnosis really gets deep. Make sure that your language is as easy as possible, so that the patient don`t have to conentrate to understand what you`re talking about.) 6 - Deeper and deeper. 7 - Deeper and deeper, and for each number I count, you`ll sleep deeper and deeper. 8 - Deeper and deeper, and when I say the number ` ten `, you will be in a deep deep hyponosis. 9 - You`re in a deep deep sleep. 10 - You`re now in an extremely deep deep sleep. Yes, you`re now sleeping extremely deep. It may help to talk more and more for each count, and often repeat wich number one is on. An other, and often better way to do it, is to imagine the patient that he is in an elevator on the 10`th floor, and that the patient is to take the elevator down to the first floor. Describe exactly how the elevator looks, and that the patient is to fall deeper into sleep for each floor the elevator reaches. One can make the hypnosis deeper by repeating the phases. Making the patient take the elevator down ten more levels into the basement floors. Or one can count to a higher number, pherhaps to 100. In these cases one dosen`t need to count number for number, if one explains the patient thhat the counting is to have the same effect as earlier, when one counted to ten. One can then count ten by ten, from one to 100. Later, one can, if wanted, repeat this phase in hundreds from 1 to 1000. But to do this, you`ll have to be a very good hypnotisor. Now that the patient is in a deep trance, you can proceed and perform the actions that are wanted, and it is HERE it REALLY gets interesting. 25.0 Use of hypnosis. 25.1 Relaxing. 0This is perhaps the easiest way to use hypnosis. The only thing one has to do, is to hypnotise the patient. A hypnotised patient will have the feeling of floating in the air, or `sleep on cloud. His body and mind will relax extremely well, and he will often, afterwards, feel like he has had a good nap. 25.2 Dreams. 0While the patient is in a trance, the hypnotisor can give him a dream. The dream must be told as monotonous as possible, and in all details. Do not leave anything to the patients own imagination, he can`t use it during a hypnosis. Dreams don`t need a special deep hypnosis, and is therefore, if performed correctly, the easiest form of actions. Remember to delete all the pictures/scenes you have created in the patients mind, or else he will still belive it is a dream, or that he still is on the dream+location, when he is awokened. A patient in hypnosis is almost totally in the powers of the hypnotist, and since he has no imagination of his own, he must be explained everything in all details. 25.3 Motivation for boring work. 0An other pretty practical way of hypnosis, is motivation. A lot of school-pupils is having difficulties, consentrating on their homework. Hypnosis can erase this feeling, and replace it with a feeling of joy. This means that the pupil will, when doing his homework, feel that this is really fun, and therefore do all of his homework, and do it well!!! This can be done in two ways. Work during hypnosis, and motivation for work after hypnosis. 25.31 Work during hypnosis. 0A hypnotised patient that has a job will, if hypnosis is performed correctly, work much better after the hypnosis is finished. The patient is explained in all details what to do, and afterwards told to open up his eyes(important to note: The patient must be told that he is still under hypnosis when he opens his eyes), rise up and do the work. Also, it is important that the patient is told to lie down again after he has done the work. To make a patient work under hypnosis, the hypnose has to be very deep. 25.32 Work after hypnosis. 0Opposite to the other way, work after hypnosis won`t make the patients abilities better, only the pleasure of doing it. But then, the patient doesen`t have to be in such a deep trance as during `work during hypnosis`. In this, the patient is explained very detailed what to do, and that it will be so an so much fun to do it. 25.4 Questioning during hypnosis. 0It is very possible to perform a questioning of the patient, while he is in a hypnosis. One must then explain the patient what question to answer, and, not to mention, that he must open his mouth and answer directly to the hypnotisor, and not in his own mind. Otherwise, the patient will answer to his own mind and think that he has answered the question. The benefits of this kind of questioning is: * The patient will always tell the thruth. ( Except if the question goes against the patients inner, moral belief, questions that he he really dosen`t want to answer.) * The patient has total control of his memory, and will therefore remember things that he otherwise wouldn`t remember. 25.5 Stop smoking 0Hypnosis can also be used to make the patient stop smoking. This is a much more effective way to stop smoking than any other cure one can buy. One simply images the patient that smoke tastes like hell, and that the patient will feel sick if he smokes. Also, tell the patient some arguments against smoking. The effect of this is much more lasting, and cheaper, than those nicotin-gums and all those less effective stop-smoking-cures one can buy. One is also secured against the fact that the patient may start smoking again. This method can also be used in: * Diets (...when you wake up you will not eate hamburgers any more...) * Alcoholic problems * Economical problems ( when the patient uses more money than he really want). 25.6 Sircustrics. 0The most used sircustrics is to imagine the patient that he is some kind of an animal. This is only visible for the wiewers, the patient knows that he is a human, but understands that he is to behave like an animal, and does it. 25.7 Reincarnation 0 This is just a theory!!! It should be possible to bring a patient back to his earlier lives by using the hypnosis. This must be done in the way that one first asks the patient if he has lived before. If the answer is yes, start by telling the patient to go back in time, perhaps to his five-years-birthday. Let him explain what happened that day, and then tell him to go further back in time. ( P.S As i`ve been told, when the patient moved beyond his birth, he often tells about a place in light pink colour, with delightful music, and that he wants to stay there. This is not dangerous. Just tell your patient to move on back in time.) Remember that the patient doesn`t recall what happened when he was in hypnosis, so it wouldn`t be a bad idea to have a cassette recorder in the room to record what he says. An Other Theory!! I`ve now read through this document. When one can learn and remember things from younger days, then there might be a possibility that one therefore can, when traveling through earlier lives, be told to remember one`s abilities from that life one at that point is` looking through`. Said in another way: If i were a samurai in one of my earlier lives there should be a possibility that my hypnotisor could get me to remember all of my abilities from that life. 1Remember...This is ONLY a THEORY !!! 25.8 Hypnotic codeword. 0If the patient is in a deep trance, it will be possible to tell him that when he hears a special word, he will immediately fall into a very deep trance. This codeword should be one that is very rarely used, and therefore, the patient`s name is a very stupid word to use. The hypnotist should also instruct the patient that it is only when certain persons say the word, that he is to fall into this deep trance, When other people than mentioned say the word, it will have no effect. When the patient has fallen into this deep trance, one can proceed with the action that is wanted. The first phases of hypnosis is in that way not neccessary. But this form of hypnosis is rarely a good form, so the best thing to do in such a case, is to make the hypnosis deeper by using chapter 4.33. The relatively light trance that appears after using a codeword is seldom enough to perform the wanted actions. 26.0 Advanced use of hypnosis. 26.1 Anaesthesesis 0A well used way of hypnosis is to use it as anaesthetesis. The patient must then, first, be hypnotised very, very deeply, and then he must be very detailed explained wich part of the body that shall become unfeelable. Some important things about this action is: 1. If you`re not an experienced and very good hypnotisor, DO NOT try it !! 2. The patient must be in a extremely deep trance before you perform a psycic anaesthetisis. 3. Before doing any medical `surgery` on the patient, be sure that he can`t feel a thing in the selected part of the body. ( This should be needless to say, any intellegent reader should understand such a thing.) 4. The hypnosis must be mantained during the ` operation `. 5. Do not committ `surgery` on other parts of the body than the one selected. 6. Remember to remove the anaesthesis, otherwise, the patient will have difficulties waking up,or he will wake up lame.(Not as a lamer, get it?) 7. Whatever you do, DO NOT try to stop the patient`s heart or lungs. No one has ever tried it before, but it very stupid to even think you may be the one that makes it. After all, the patient might die!!! Lots of this, desribed i this document is illegal for other than doctors to perform. Even if most of the things in this document isn`t dangerous. The thing, though, that SHOULD be performed by a doctor with a lot of expertise, is the anaesthetisis, described in chapter 6.1 26.2 Self-hyposis. 0An usual, and legal way to do hypnosis, is self-hypnosis. This is done in the same way as I deribed earlier, except that the patient gives HIMSELF the orders. The thing is to keep as low consentration as possible and at the same time know that the orders are effective. Self-hypnosis can`t get you into such deep trance so that `work during hypnosis` or `anaesthestesis` is impossible. An other way of hypnosis, is to record all the sequences, and then play them when a hypnosis is wanted. The disadvantage then is that there is nobody there to ensure that everything is O.K., and that the hypnosis works. 2Writer`s comment: 1This document is not written as a perfect way to be the perfect hypnotist, but just so that the ordinary `man-in-the-street` can get the feeling of what hypnosis really is. But then, on the other side, you may use this document to train yourself to perform a hypnosis. I do though advice you to read a couple of books on the tophic, before you start hypnotising everybody you run into. A good book to learn hypnosis from, is `self-hypnosis` by Ronald Shone. The reason that in many countries, hypnosis isn`t allowed for anybody else than doctors, is that there has been so many con-men that hasn`t been able to wake their patient up again. This can easily be avoided by knowing what you`re doing. And since it,in my country, is illegal for other than specialists to perform hypnosis, I won`t use my real name here, i`ll just use my handle.
