¼²  The truth about the Gathering '93

   ¹The  Gathering  '94  passed  as any
other  event  would.   But  what could
have  happened  ?   The  42-staff  has
discovered   alarming  facts  and  can
present  to you, our readers, proof of
a    planned   bombing   against   the
Gathering last year.

   Now,  one  year after the Gathering
1993,  we  present  to  you the letter
where  the  plan  is  described.   The
letter  was  published in issue 144 of
Gateavisa  and  was  left  without any
comment  from  the  editors.   We have
translated  the letter into english so
you  can  read the truth, sadly we had
to  shorten  the letter down a bit due
to  the  length.  To our non-norwegian
readers  we will say that Gateavisa an
anarchistic   magazine   published  in
Norway.

   I noticed your article in issue 141
where  you  dropped the description of
making nerve-gas.  I would like to get
this article since some MAD hackers on
drugs  have been bothering me for some
time.   I  won't pass it on to anybody
else,  nor  use it on anyone but those
who  deserve it.  And I will return it
to  you  as  soon as I'm finished with
it.   And  by  the way, Astrolite is a
bit  to  unstable, isn't it?  It would
be  a  much  better idea to use C-4 or
Semtex..  [...] ³, and something really
radical  would  be to blow a real bomb
at  the  Gathering.   The  scene isn't
real anarchy, only a sort of elitarian
thingy.  InterNet is much better, real
anarchism  rules  !!²  [...] We thought
of  sitting up all weekend ³planning to
terminate all at The Gathering.²

   This   is  undeniable  proof  of  a
planned bombing against The Gathering.
The  persons  involved  seems  totally
unreliable and dangerous.  What he/she
is  busted  for  is  still  a mystery,
since  we  haven't discovered the real
identity  of  this  person.  While you
might  say  that  we  are  just  being
paranoid   and  that  this  letter  is
nothing more than a joke.  But there's
more to this:

   A    report   from   the   national
intelligence agency for the government
brings     proof     of    Gateavisa's
involvement  in  left-vinged terrorist
activity.   The  report  says that the
anarchists        were        planning
terrorist-actions to further their own
political  goals.  Since the goverment
has            decreased           the
surveillance-activity lately, we can't
know  if  this  activity still goes on
inside Gateavisa.  But we can tell you
what  they were up to in the late 70's
and 80's.

   We   quote   from   NOU   #3   from
February`93  (NOU  is short for Norges
Offentlige   Utredninger  which  is  a
series     of    norwegian    official
publications)

         ²"Terrorism had a much greater
support  in  other  circles  than  AKP
(Workers   Communist   Party)  in  the
seventies   and   in   the   eighties.
Especially  in anarchistic groups like
the  people  connected with Gateavisa.
Persons   from   Gateavisa   has  told
certain   reliable  sources  that  the
matter  they  discussed  most  was the
question  about when they could defend
the   use  of  terrorist-actions  like
sabotage  and  assasination to promote
their  political  ideology.   They had
4-5   conditions   that   had   to  be
fulfilled,   but   they   were   never
fulfilled  at once.  One said that the
possibility  of terrorims was greatest
in  the late seventies" [..] " We will
point  out  that Norway is a target of
international terrorism.  We must have
a  well developed intelligence service
and  anti  terror  squads to meet this
threat"¹
