Due to the fact that the nice man at Future PD is putting up the prizes for the compo. Well, I can tell you now that this is a very down-to-earth review. Firstly, I had the PD that I ordered sent to my Gran's house, so I didn't get any special treatment on my order. Not that Adrian writes to me that often anyway! I ordered £8.80 worth of PD. These were the special disk packs that are offered by Future PD at amazingly low prices. For example, I ordered a set of disks called AGA Dreams (a ten disk set which only cost £2.90, that's including P&P). The same pack was sold by Epic for... hang on... (accompanied by sounds of endless issues of popular Amiga magazines being tossed around), over five quid. The main reason I bought these disks was that I needed some blank disks. I can buy disks at my local computer shop, but they cost £3.50 for ten. So it is cheaper to buy PD disks, then it is for me to buy actual blanks. The only disadvantage is that I end up keeping hold of the PD, so still need to buy some blanks anyway. Okay, so the disks are recycled ones and some people don't trust these disks. Well, I ordered a total of thirty disks and out of the thirty disks, only one didn't work. And this was replaced completely free of charge (even postage). [4 I can recommend Future PD, to anyone who orders PD on a regular basis. There is a loyalty bonus, with which you can obtain money off Future orders. Having looked at a lot of the prices in recent Amiga magazines, the prices aren't that bad either. In fact, if you can obtain the disks cheaper anywhere else, they will refund 50% of your total order. Although, not off bulk PD, as special prices can be obtained for bulk PD. @7 -=- @1 All in all, a very good PD library and one that will no doubt get countless orders, stretching into the millions, from me.
