Maybe you`ve heard of it,maybe you haven`t,for those who haven`t are the
lucky ones as threads is a film about nuclear war (DONT EXIT JUST YET!).

Threads  was  made  in  the  early eighties although it was protrayed as
being  in the seventies,i cant remember the full story but obviously its
about a nuclear bomb exploding and the effects after it.

Writing  this article isn`t easy as i saw the film well over 7 years ago
in  school  but  its  a film you`ll NEVER forget,as it was so upsetting-
viewers of the film will know what i mean but its hard to describe those
who haven`t seen it.

Boy  is  this hard to write,the effects after the explosion were sick,as
the  survivors walked into the streets where the destruction was,finding
dead  bodies  of relatives and animals,people vomiting and when the bomb
went  off  the  people  were  then  blind,and one scene a woman was seen
urinating  herself  from fright-to those who find this funny or pathetic
can  kiss my ass,as its a film that makes you wish that things like this
were only in the films and not in real life (just take the french atomic
bomb test for example).

The  end of the film showed the people re-building their city,and with a
young  girl  who  had  previously  had  been  raped  giving birth to her
daughter  where  she had to bite the ambilical cord off,to find that the
baby was deformed,it ended with a scream-just like when it started.

The  film  was  shown in two parts at my school and was on for 3 hours,i
remember telling the teacher that i didn`t want to see the end as i knew
things  would get worse.When the film finished,no one in the class spoke
as we all realised films like the exorcist were crap where as this could
actually happen..lets hope it doesn`t.
