91I   decided   to  write  this  article
because  of  all the boring handles in
the  scene.   Nowadays when you recive
letters  from friends telling you they
have  changed  their  handles, most of
those  guys  have  chosen a shortening
instead  of  their  old  ones.  Now, I
think  that  shows  a lack of fantasy.
The   handle  ought  to  be  something
everyone   (or  as  many  as  posible)
should  remember.   Another RKB or FRM
will  not  be  rememberd  very long, I
guess.

Now  I'm not telling you that it's not
possible   to   get   known   whith  a
shortening  as  handle.   (As you know
the  handle  can't  code  a demo...:-)
Just  take  a  look  att those dKefrens
dudes9,  dPGCS  of  Alcatraz  9or  dJAS of
Phenomena   9(they   popped  up  in  my
head..).   But  a jolly handle will be
easier  recognized  a second time, and
isn't as boring as the shortenings.

I  have recently seen some shortenings
in  groupnames  as  well.   That is as
boring  as  it  possibly  can  become!
Stop  it  please!   Grab  a  name with
style!

What  kind  of handle should you chose
then?  Well, there are some categories
of  handles  wich  are  very  easy  to
remember:

b1)  9Handles  which  are funny:  Mutant
Mango och Magic Mushromm (Quartz).

b2)   9Handles   with   numbers:    4mat
(Anarchy) and KR'33 (Sanity).

b3) 9Handles with own words:  Mel o' Dee
(Shining) and Cee Dee (ex.  Equinox).

So  please chose your ehandle with care
