Another issue of The Word is finally out of my bloody sight, not that I
resent it you understand, oh no!  Let's just say that I'd rather spend
the time doing something other than hunting down those little buggettes
that crop up every now and again!  Besides, we start work on issue 8 in
the morning...

|1-Word 8 to be a Co-Production!



From issue 8 I will be joining sides with Kei of Carnage to bring you
the mag and all the articles therein.  Kei asked me about becoming a
co-editor and I finally decided to accept after realising that his
heeee-uge network of contacts (who else do you know who sends out bloody
CIRCULARS instead of normal letters?) would produce a richer and more
varied (not to mention BIGGER) influx of articles for you, the punter,
to read.

So, poor old Kei (he doesn't realise the work involved yet, heheheh ;)
will be up to his armpits in textfiles and AMOS source code shortly
after TW7 is released, it almost makes me feel sorry for him.

Almost...

|1-REAL HD Install!



From issue 8 the mag will also properly install to Harddrive, I'll get a
juicy little script done and re-code the disk access slightly so that
everything will work with the minimum of effort on your part.  There
will (hopefully) be no assigns, no mucking about with disk swaps, no
aggro whatsoever...  We can all dream, eh?

|1-StoneCracker support...



Although we pride ourselves on wasting as much of your Chip RAM as we
possibly can, we'd like to do it more efficiently (!) and so from issue
8 we'll (hopefully) be switching to the StoneCracker cruncher, all for
technical reasons, don't worry about it!  Be happy in the knowledge that
there will be no more Crunchmania patch, and no extra libraries.
