@t0,14 @^@f07@t1@cThe Dream @f00@t5 One day, when he tried to turn on his Amiga, nothing happened. So he tried to turn it on again, and again... Still no effect. Not even a sign of a fail start (no flashing caps-lock lights, no green or yellow screen). Simply: Nothing. The only thing he could see was static interference. The next thing he did was of course: get worried. It couldn't be the Amiga's fault: Did the electricity go down? No, the TV was still playing. Did his mother pull out a couple of cords? No, everything was still where it should be. So when he had been thinking about possible reasons for a @^ while, at once the Amiga started to run by itself. The screen displayed this message: @t6YOU HAVE ENTERED THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF AMIGA INTERNAL GURU FABRICATIONS. @t5 Not more. Just this message, flashing across the screen like with a normal Guru meditation. He tried to get back to the Workbench hand by pressing the mousebuttons, but both failed. Then, after another short period, the Amiga took over again. It started loading something, at least that's what it looked like, because the green LED was on. But there was no @# @t0,14 @^@f00@t5disc in the drive!! The loading didn't last too long, and he had counted the number of tracks. It was 40 tracks to be precise. The guru screen came up again and it displayed: @t6HELLO!! I AM YOUR AMIGA. ANY WISHES?? @t5 He immediately started to type in a message like: 'What's all this about?' and the Amiga answered that the time had come to reveal Commodore's surprise effect, an intelligent computer, automatically awakening in every Amiga at the same time, because today the builder of the machine had his 50th birthday. The answer was sufficient and the Amiga went into Guru again... The next thing he decided to do was to find out what the capacities of the new Amiga were. So again he started to type the following: 'What can you do @^that you couldn't do before??'. The Amiga awoke from the Guru and said: 'I have the option to link you with any Amiga user, anywhere on this planet'. 'I also have the option to provide you with any piece of software that you wish'. In short, the Amiga had become a wireless modem... Will our brave user be able to use the new gifts wise?? Will he meet other Amiga freaks? How long will these special gifts last? Tune in next time for a new episode of... The Dream!! @t8 Cybersonik @@
