$ff3|1-BTQ Issue 1 $bf0 A review type gubbins by Dr.Dick $fbd This droped through the door on the 16th June 1998 and initially looked very promising, a magazine from BT geared towards the Internet and home office working, surely something that's going to interest me? Caroline Quentin graces the front cover in typical "plain woman trying to look sexy" pose, and the quality of the paper suggests a wealth of information 'twixt the covers. Bearing in mind that [a] this is a freebie and [b] this is the first issue, BT have done quite a good job of filling 15 landscape A4 sides. Unfortunately, as you might guess, BT haven't missed this opportunity to try and sell you more services that you don't actually want, and there isn't single page in the publication that doesn't plug something of theirs. So, as this is essentially one big BT catalogue, there's precious little information between the selling points. I didn't know that Martin Clunes and Neil Morrissey (of 'Men behaving Badly' fame) were so clued up on the Internet, or that Ms Quentin is currently appearing in 'The London Cuckolds'. Unfortunately, I didn't really care either. Oh well, it's free, and there's a wee competition on the back, so it's not costing me anything, it's worth a quick read through but that's about all, because you soon end up getting annoyed by the endless plugs. Hopefully future issues will contain more reader input and so - proportionately - fewer drones on the benefits of super-friends-and- family-three-way-caller-id-waiting-ringback, or whatever. Overall? You're kidding! Okey then, 4/10, and THAT's only because it's well designed. Dick Dr.Dick@LineOne.net
