$fb7Let's start off with what's on my desk.

My trusty a1200.  I've been having thoughts about selling it and getting
a  lowly  pentium..   i dunno.  Anyway, it's got all sortsa stuff in it,
including  a  high density drive shoe horned in where the internal drive
was.   Works  a  treat!   There's  a Blizzard 1230-IV with FPU and eight
megs.   I'm  saving  up  for  a sixteen meg simm.  There's a 1.6gb hd in
there somewhere.  Well, that's what's in, what's plugged in?  There's an
optical  pen  I  use as a mouse.  There's a CD32 Competition Pro joypad.
An  external drive (Zappo).  A Megamix Master sound sampler (pretty good
quality!)  There's  a  video-scart cable so I get a clearer picture than
using  the  archaic tv modulator.  Then there's the power supply plugged
in,  the  PSU  is resting a bit away from me right foot.  There's also a
Zappo x2 speed cdrom that's not plugged in at the moment.

Other  stuff  -  Morphy  Richards  radio  alarm  clock.   A  tub full of
red/black/blue biros.  A Wallace figurine pondering the meaning of life.
A  weird  sort  of  troll thing.  Two rubber bands.  A paperclip.  A PCB
that came with CU Amiga a few issues back.  A dead 8mb simm (still gotta
phone  up  about this, I think it's EDO so it doesn't work properly).  A
JVC  XL-P50  portable  CD  Player.   Amiga Format CD 21.  Edge CD3.  Aga
Experience CD1.  A letter from Budda.  A few bits of burnt Rizla.  A pot
of copper coins.  A craft knife with no blade.  A US GOLD mug that I got
when  I  subscribed to Zzap64!  all those years ago.  A few disk labels.
A  receipt  for  V-Rally.  A Grundig TV.  It's okay, but I want a better
tv.  An anglepoise lamp.  That's it.

Under my desk - CD rack my sister made and gave to me.  Hods and hods of
disks.  Over 1000, at least!  Two QuickShot II Turbos.

Bits  n bobs - Initial UK batch Playstation.  You DON'T need to chip yer
PS to play Tomb Raider!  Use the swap method, it's a bit trickier, but I
managed it!  There's a pack of Golden Virginia sat on the lid of the PS.
And  that's  sat on top of one of the speakers.  Behind the speaker is a
bag  full  of  porno's  that  Kei  desperately wants!  Wait till I get a
flatbed  scanner m8y, then I'll send em to ya!  :) There's some wrapping
paper tucked away.  There's me Record of Acheivement book thing.  Loadsa
mags   on  the  floor  (Edge/UKPSM/CU  Amiga/AF/DJ/Sunday  Sports/Etc..)
There's a bit of paper with a cool looking bit of Java on that gives you
a digital clock.  Hmm..  One of the mags is open at level eleven of Tomb
Raider 2 - Tibetan Foothills.  The last level - The Deck - took a while!
There's two PS controllers, both unplugged and a brand spanking new Dual
Analogue  controller  plugged  in!   There's some PS games on the floor,
I'll  just  have a look..  (All Originals!) Soul Blade NTSC, Destruction
Derby  2,  V-Rally,  Micro Machines 3, TOCA Touring Car Championship and
Tomb Raider 2.  Oh, and TR2 cd is in the PS.

There's  a  dressing  table  full  of  clothes.   On it sits my Technics
seperates  HiFi.  Niiiiice.  Loooouuuudd!!  I can put the volume knob to
2  and  the  speakers  start giving out (they're 100watt) and the volume
goes  up  to  ten!!   The  HiFi's  sat  on top of a crappy Sony VCR.  It
plays/records  alright,  it's  just  the  picture quality ain't too hot.
Might  need  the  heads  checking  on  it.   There's  an empty packet of
McVities Chocolate biscuits I devoured mercilessly yesterday.  There's a
bowl  full of burnt away incense sticks.  It's got my name in it.  And a
picture  of  a  clown.  Gee, thanks Nanna.  On top of the HiFi is one of
those  wooden woodpecker things that was on TFI Friday.  Also, there's a
pair of Headphones (Panasonic) that I soldered the wiring back on to the
volume  knob  bit on the lead, well chuffed with that.  I had to use the
solder that was already there as I couldn't find any.  Not easy as there
wasn't  much  solder.   There's  some Ibuleve gel.  Some Sure deodorant.
Three  HD PC disks with my web project on and Kei's that he sent a while
ago,  to  put  on  me  mums  PC.  Just to see what it's like.  There's a
couple  of  CD  racks  stuffed  with  CD's.   A few more rubberbands and
paperclips.   Sellotape.   Mini  speakers.   Recharger  for  my  walkman
battery.   A  hook.  An almost empty box of incense sticks.  A few audio
leads.   A load of tapes waiting to be listened to.  A pair of tweesers.
A  big  ball  of  BluTack.  A laserdot pen.  Smart!  A big green marker.
Pencil  sharpener,  pencil  and  a  few pens.  A bottle of "Escape - For
Men".   A  Barclays Bank Coaster.  There's a Sekonda watch on the floor.
Packet of Rizlas.  Ya, man.  There's my bed - a matress on the floor, it
does  - and on it is this months PSM mag with Grand Theft Auto cover, TV
and  VCR  remote  controls,  Optical  Mouse  Mat,  Dust Cover with Amiga
sticker on it, Dressing Gown, Cushion, Pillow, Comforter.

There's  a pile of washing behind the door.  Slippers that I havn't worn
for  a  long long time.  There's also a bookcase with stacks of tapes in
(which  I  have  listened  to).  Loadsa mags.  The other speaker.  A few
vids.   There's  a  pair  of trousers I got for Christmas I still havn't
tried on yet.

Snoresville, huh?

There's  some nice posters on the wall Edge posters 1,2 and 3.  MIB, FHM
97 on December with Tyra Banks.  Mrow!  There's a poster of Death on the
door, with a TR2 poster beneath it.

(BTW :  You can tell how old this article is.  My FHM calendar is now on
February 98 :)
